I use rubbing alcohol on mine. Not a ton - they dont need a bathits more of a truck stop shower... just enough on the tip of a q-tip to wipe them down and get any residue off of them.
Do you have a name, brand, of the liquids that deposit while cleaning?
for that price i should have gotten more contacts screws when i ordered the brass nemmy. I only added 3 sets of top and bottom. The best is a product called SILVERPLATER and can be found on caswellplating.com and perhaps eBay. It deposits 99.99% pure silver when briskly rubbed in. It wouldn't be easy to apply on threading so I would only use it for the contact. It is expensive. Also keep in mind that there are two similar items made by the same manufacturer which perform similarly, SILVERSMITH and SILVERPLATER. SILVERSMITH is made for commercial use only and contains cyanide. DON"T BUY THAT. SILVERPLATER contains no cyanide. Be sure if you buy from a source outside of Caswell, you know which you are buying. Caswell makes all kinds of plating kits from metals to anodizing to powdercoating. A good option if you want to bling your mods and attys.

so you are talking about using this for the silver contacts in the Nemesis, which are small of course.
I imagine we take the top cap apart and rub some in on the of the contact... with what? and then buff it... with what?
Same for the batt contact...
I haven't seen my Nem yet.
Thanks for the advice.
Is there a product for copper and/or brass contacts as well ... same like Silverplater from Carswell?
For the SILVERPLATER, I was just talking about rubbing some onto the flat part of the contacts to replace any silver lost from repetitive use. You would just use a cloth on a fingertip and buff it in.
Caswell has electroplating kits for brass, copper, silver, gold, chrome, and a few others. They have chrome removal kits, nonelectric plating, and an array of other finishing for home and commercial use. Follow the link in my previous post and browse the site for product info. It's quite varied.

SILVERSMITH or SILVERPLATER can be applied to surfaces made, or plated with, nickel, copper, bronze, brass, zinc. It will NOT work on base metals such as steel and aluminum. (But you could plate these with nickel first). The part should be highly buffed and polished before application.
XfooYen.... does this mean you could use this for brass or copper contacts in our application (vaping devices) too?
You should be able to add SILVERPLATER directly to bare copper or brass without any pretreatment. On steel or aluminum, you would have to tin it first, I believe. They have kits for all that. If you have copper contacts, I wouldn't bother plating those. Copper is plenty conductive on its own. If you are looking to plate something from the start (onto bare metal), I would use an electroplating kit. The SILVERPLATER polish places a super thin layer of silver, less than 1 micron, and is best used for touch-ups and maintenance. The electroplating method will place a much thicker layer of silver on the part.
I don't want to steer this thread too far away from topic. Just check out the Caswell site and read up on whatever use you plan for. They have it covered.
