I estimate my daily cost of vaping well below a dollar, probably considerably less than 50 cents actually but I'm way too lazy to do the real math to figure it out...but between rolling coils, using KGD for wick, making my own unflavored nic base (4mg currently), it's zilch...that said...I spend entirely too much on mods and attys

But y'know what, totally right...it ain't about saving money, anyway...it's about being healthier and, to me, having a more enjoyable (1000x over) "smoking" experience :)

The other day, waiting in the dentists office for my filling...nic craving hit. Back in the day, I would've avoided smoking a cig due to embarrassment over my breath at the dentist. But I went out and vaped a heavenly vape and walked back in with confidence that I smell like any other nonsmoking sloth.

Love it man :thumb:

OK I have to adjust the definition then.."the money Rob earns from us" lol

Yes..seems the consensus is on RM2. A few guys mentioned the Origen, the Deringer, and the RM4 too. But seems the RM2 is the one to go to for flavor

The RM2 was my flavor atty on my very first Reo with a mid sub ohm build. It was also the only BF atty I had at the time (it came with the Reo bought used). :) I soon had 6-7 RM2's, a couple of RM3's, an IGO-S, 2 2013 Cyclones and a few more Reos. Fast forward about a year and a half later and one of the RM3's is still new/unused. I only still use one of the RM2's on an OG VV Grand with the only build on all my Reo gear above 1 ohm at 1.6, and seldom use the others. Not meant as anything wrong with the RM2/RM3 at all, they are fine atty's to start with or stay with forever that also do not cost an arm and a leg. I just moved on to other atty's that are far more versatile for my builds and DLH AFC requirements. I have a .... load of BF atty's now... but my flavor atty's of choice are Nuppin', O-16 and Chalice II & III's (the Atomic/RM4 is no slouch either). I do put up with far less build ability and air on the Chalice, but it could easily be on the top of the list for those that MTL.

You'll spend much less money on vaping than you did on cigarettes they said...huh!

Most folks that have found their niche and have been vaping it long term probably do. Some of us on the end of trail side that have tried out a lot of other high end gear before finding the gear of choice probably never will. Almost 3 years into vaping I know I will not live long enough to ever see break even let alone having saved any money by switching to vaping. Matters not, the price of admission has been worth it.

After years of vaping a REO I have become very "lazy" about changing flavors.....I just pour my new flavor right in the same bottle the previous flavor was in and go for it. They blend for a vape or two then the new flavor takes over. I don't even change the wick... I will say all my juices are similar or compatible. You'll find your stride. I change my coils and wicks very seldom. My coils last for months....my wicks for weeks.

Speaking of vape budget: REOs will end up saving you lots of money ONCE you get a few. I have my REOs, DIY my own juice, roll my own coils, and at this point in my vaping life I'm practically vaping for free. I had to order a couple of new drip tips the other day because I was missing "vape mail" and didn't really need anything. :)
I confess to being a simple bottle swapper for flavour changes, myself. There is a brief period of flavour mingling before the second flavour takes over, but I often find this a pleasant interlude. In fact, it sometimes inspires me to adjust some of my DIY flavours. I'm actually vaping a nice mandarine licorice this morning that was first found by accident.

Another that doesn't feel the need to fiddle-faddle around vaping with the Reo gear. Way less is way more.

Heh - glad you got it back on.

Couple of thoughts on this...

* slick the tube with juice - it's slipperier than water (it's the VG).

* try refilling the bottle by just unscrewing it from the cap/tube assembly and pulling it free.

* maybe think about the new softer bottles Rob has on his site. The tubing with them is much softer and easier to work onto feed tubes.

* maybe think about a 510 upgrade. The new adjustable ones have a SS nipple that's much sturdier and stands up to tube futzing better.

Thanks PL..these are very useful tips indeed! It is much easier to order a new Reo than to send Rob my Reo and then have him send it back after the upgrade..the customs in Egypt are going crazy! and the Egyptian authorities don't look kindly upon e-cigarettes..we were bluntly told that e-cigarettes are a threat to "sovereign financial resources" (which means taxes on cigarettes and cigarette production lines that the are government owned and are being leased to big tobacco companies). What I usually do is have my stuff sent to a friend in Jersey who frequently travels back and forth..in short it's a royal pain in the ....!!

In any case..it's easy to order the new bottles and spares and have them sent directly to Egypt...the upgrade will have to wait for now..but i will be getting either a new Reo or a Tmod shortly :)

For some stupid reason the tube came out again...seems I have to take the reo apart, put it in place through the derlin thing and then put the reo back together ..it looks easy on youtube so hopefully I will face no problems

Originally rob used super glue on the tube to keep it in place.

Just be careful with thr black delrin screw. Don't turn it past snug or you risk easily stripping the screw hole.. it's soft aluminum.

Be careful when you put the delrin cover back on that you don't over-tighten the screw. Finger tight only. It is going into aluminum and it is really, really easy to accidentally strip it.

Jan

Then never do this again. :)

is it safe health-wise to use superglue on the tube?

Oh and when you do finally place that order for a new reo with the new adjustable 510 connection a mnd gold contacts.. it's will be a tank of a device! Only thing you will also want to order is a couple extra gold contacts and like 1 to 2 extra gold springs and toss in a few extra magnets for the door just encase. Oh and don't forget those new super soft 8.5ml bottles!!

Nothing will break on the new ones other then maybe a contact if you press the button hard enough. Gold spring maybe if you cause a short with your atty and forget to test it out first.
