New SO kit blows clouds but doesn't suck.

Hello REOVille !
I recently installed the SO kit in my grand and now the juice is not being sucked back down after I squonk. Any ideas how to fix this ?

Feed tube too long? Try pull the bottle down a little to see if it helps.

I thought about that actually tube looks good. Tried a different tube that I cut shorter but still nothing.

also think may be the bottle oring is it. air comes in when you release the bottle?!?

You could cover the hose hole and squeeze under water and see where the bubbles come from. If you pull hose and all it would show if the problem is between hose and bottle.

What are you seeing if you squonk and release with the door off? If you aren't seeing any draw back at all I'm wondering if you opened the tip up too much, and the "suck" of the bottle when you release is pulling in air now between the tip and the tubing.

Assuming you did open the tip up, what did you use to drill it out?

The tightness of the bottle cap will effect the ability of juice drawback also.

Not over tight, just snug works best for me.

Check to make sure you got the insulator and pin seated properly. Check to make sure you got the pin nut tightened securely without over tightening and breaking it off.

Also make sure your wick is not blocking the drain hole.

I see just a few air bubbles coming back down the tube but nothing crazy like on my mini where I get a massive air bubble

Only one of 2 things IMO: (1) Tube too close to bottom of bottle (cut bottom of tube at a 45 degree angle) or (2) as most others refer - the o-ring in bottle cap too tight, deformed and suck air.

You also said you did the bottle mod correct? Make sure the new bottle top is not so small that it is pinching off the tubing.

For your bottle cap mod: with the stock tubing and stock bottle, use an 11/64" bit to drill. That works perfectly. If you're having trouble getting the tubing through, use a little lube.

Assuming everything is done properly, it sounds to me like your female 510 isn't tight enough on your male 510. This would cause adverse airflow when squonking. You may be able to get juice up, but the excess air would escape through the loose connection, causing a failure in sucking the juice back down. Just a thought.

If I were you, I'd (carefully) take the mod apart and start back at square one. The gaskets aren't as fragile as you might think. Tighten that sucker good.
