Well the turkey got cooked a little too long so it was a bit dry I guess we can't get them perfect every time LOL

Yeah I play when it gets really huge like it is now, but other than that I just play Fantasy 5 because it is cheap and would pay off all my bills completely even with the lump sum reduction LOL But 550 million would be an EPIC win indeed

A busy AND Good day is definitely a great thing. One of my Shipmate's is going to smoke a turkey this year as well, If this stuff turns out good I may have to invest in a smoker myself LOL

Little Niece is coming over this evening so her Mama and Poppa can go out to dinner for once by themselves and see if that might help them two a bit So gotta come up with something for dinner that the picky little turd will eat LMAO

Sorry to hear about the turkey. I know it's a fine line between under and over cooked with these buggers. I think smoking keeps them a lot juicer, but it's still a fine line to get the internal temp just right.
Very cool of you to take the Niece again this weekend bud. I know you can make just about anything, so I'm sure you can fix here up something she will love!

Yeah turkey is a very touchy thing to cook But when it is done right it is amazing I got a very nice ham for Christmas Dinner so that should at least come out great. My Beef jerky is almost done and the little "Princess" Niece of mine is diggin' on some bacon meatloaf and mixed veggies Another successful feeding of the Mini Midget

I really do not like the cowboys right now

I gotta say the jerky came out awesome!! The guys at work laid waste to it LMAO. I will have to make some more before I come up next The verdict for my arm is still undecided after the appointment today. They want to do an ultrasound on it first so another week to wait for an appointment to get that done, looking like the middle of January before I can actually get anything really done on it.

I am definitely having a great day, I was told to go home after my appointment today so I was able to go out and get some stuff done today that I needed to do. Yeah I now have the perfect recipe for a nice mild beef jerky Loads of flavor without burning anyones face off LOL

The Niner's did indeed look great yesterday Hopefully at least one of our teams will make the big game this year

It really does suck about the arm not being fixed yet, however I guess it is good that they are not going in blind because where it is can cause serious and permanent disability if they don't be careful with it. I am just really wanting it gone so I can starthealing and still have time to get some good workouts in before the next PRT in the spring.

This weather truly is very very perfect in my opinion, just not really Winter Holiday weather LOL

Yeah, my jerky turned out a little spicy for the faint of heart bro. I tried to keep the spice down, but I guess I am not a good test subject for that. People can eat it, but it's a slow burn that kinda hangs with you for a while.
I sure hope the Niners can pull it off, but I have a lot of concern, they just aren't consistent enough yet. They have been through the injury ringer and Kaepernick's second year slump, but we are looking strong at the moment.
I really just hope they can figure your arm out and fix it bro. I am sure you are really tired of dealing with the pain of this thing.
Wow the sunset's have been spectacular this week! Blood-red and fire orange skies.

Funny you should say that because mine came out extremely mild, for once I did not add anything spicy to it other than fresh ground black pepper That is about it. The first thing everyone asked me though was "Is It Hot?!?!?!?!" I reassured them that it was not so they all tried some and they liked it.

Yeah the Niners and the cowboys are both struggling with consistency it seems. Hopefully they can pull it off and get the job done over the next few weeks

Yeah I go on leave on Friday, it is Holiday Vacation time for me and my crew. I am feeling a little bit better today, I was up most of the night on and off so I think I got most of it out. I am going to take some theraflu tonight for a good night's sleep so hopefully I will be at 100% by tomorrow. Little Man has his first concert tonight so we are going to go to that and hear him play his Cello

The foodsaver is absolutely Great my Friend, I have been using them for years and they are a lifesaver for being able to buy foods in bulk and divide it up into meal sized portions, much better price that way and definitely great for packaging jerky too

Hey there Brother, I will have off until the 3rd so about two weeks

Well there will be no concert tonight my Friend, I am waiting for the Admiral to get back with the Oldest so I can take our Youngest to the ER and have his face X-Rayed We just got back from picking him up from the nurses office at the school because he took a baseball bat to the Grill and it took out his front right tooth, chipped one of his bottom teeth and looks to have loosened both of the teeth right and left of the top tooth that got smashed out. He is looking pretty bad right now, he is tough as nails like his old man though and taking it like a trooper. I just want to play it on the safe side because he has the same level of pain tolerance as I do his jaw could be broken and he may not even know it. So best to get a look on the inside and see what is going on in there to be sure.

OMG!!!

That boy really does it up right when he does it for sure. He was fortunate that they not only found the tooth that got knocked for a home run but also that it came out intact so it only had a small chip that needed to be repaired before they reinserted it into his mug. Then they repaired the other teeth that got damaged and cleaned him up, sewed him up and he is home sleeping now. He is going to be in a lot of pain for quite some time until everything heals and throughout the followup procedures that are going to have to happen to get this tooth completely functional and reattached again, aka he will need a root canal on it to keep it alive within the week after some of te initial trauma wounds have healed up enough.

I will say this though, he has a mug like his father, he took quite a bit of aluminum to the hospital with him attached to his teeth. I gotta get that bat because there were chunks of aluminum on his teeth from the bat LMAO This is going to be a pretty long road to get everything back to normal in his mouth. Glad he likes yogurt, applesauce and mashed potatoes because that is about all he can eat for a while.
