Good Morning my Friend,

Thank you very much for the well wishes, little guy is still sleeping and we are gonna let him sleep as long as he can today. I got a lot of phone calls to make today to try and find a really good pediatric orthodontist that takes our insurance. Should be pretty easy around here being a military town. He is going to have a lot of followup appointments coming up soon for procedures to try and make sure that tooth stays alive and resets properly. He is just very lucky it did not impact him about two inches higher or yesterday could have been extremely tragic for all of us. I gotta say he scared the heck out of all of us. He is definitely going to be in a lot of pain for a while until the trauma and swelling get better.

I think he jinxed himself yesterday morning by singing that song "All I want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth". He was singing that yesterday morning I guess before school.

Well today was a great success thus far. We have a new dental place and it is right up the road from the house so it is super close AND they have the facilities for pretty much anything relating to the teeth or mouth. The best part is that they also have had experience with this very kind of accident so they know exactly what he needs. They got him an appointment today too and saw him and want to see him again Monday after he has had some time to allow for the swelling to go down

Yeah it does look like these folks are definitely going to be able to handle the little man's needs for the stuff he needs to have done to get his face back in working order. He is going stir crazy not being able to eat solid foods though. He really wants some steak LOL He will be able to eat some again soon enough though. Hopefully the little guy will heal very quickly

Freedom at last I really really needed a vacation

I have to say, thus far the hardest part about this whole ting has been keeping his lips free from infections, they are really really swollen and torn up bad. Hopefully they will go down a little bit soon because if not I am gonna take him back in for a really big antibiotic shot. Something along the lines of the good ol' "Peanut Butter" shot we all got in bootcamp. LOL That one would definitely cure any infection he may have

Hahaha So you remember the "Spear Of Doom" too huh? Yeah gotta hate that Bicillian shot Brother. I am taking a very proactive approach to treating the gashes on his lips by using sterile gauze and very warm water to treat and clean his wounds prior to applying the neo sporin to his lips to try and get them to heal a bit faster and stay infection free. It is definitely starting to look a lot better now and he is in less pain too so it must be working.

Neosporin is great bud, also tribiatic gels are great to prevent infections on the lips. The gels also aid in keeping the lips moist as they begin to heal preventing opening up the healed wounds from lip movement.

LOL Aint that the truth Brother, I hated that shot, we had to do situps right afterwards for like two hours LMAO.

Yeah I love the tripple protection stuffs because they do just that, the more cracks that develop from dryness the more open wounds there are for infections to get in.
