I think you chose wisely for a 1st timer.
It's so easy to get quality results with these flavors. I started out at 2.5% with all of my SC flavors, and to my surprise I had to reduce most of them. They are potent!

I tried traditional DIY and it didn't work for me. I bought over $100 of TFA flavors and, after a few months of experimentation, learned that I don't have the time or patience needed to get good results using regular flavors. I'm hoping that I'll have better luck with super concentrated flavors. I haven't had the time to read this thread in its entirety but I have skimmed and it seems that most super concentrates don't require flavor mixing. They're complete flavor mixes straight out of the bottle. That's what I'm after.
The one thing that I learned from trying DIY is that I like tobacco flavors and hate pretty much everything else. That was a big surprise. I thought it would be the other way around. The only flavors I liked were 555 Type DK Tobacco and RY4 Type-1. Sadly, those were the only two tobacco flavors I bought. Everything else was sweet or fruity. All of my questions below will deal with tobacco flavors. I will not be buying anything else.
Vapingzone and ecigexpress seem to be the two major vendors for super concentrates. Vapingzone is fairly straightforward. It looks like everything under "Super Concentrated Flavoring-Alcohol Base" and "Hangsen Essence Flavoring" are super concentrates. Correct?
Ecigexpress has me confused. Which of their flavor lines are super concentrated? My guess is that Tobacco Express and Hangsen are their only two super concentrated tobacco brands. Is ECX Hangsen the exact same stuff that vapingzone sells?
How do I choose between ECX Super Concentrated, Hangsen, and VZ Tobacco Express? Is one brand clearly superior for tobacco flavors or is it like standard flavors where one brand does a better cherry while another line does a better apple?

Fotsirk, I have problems with most of the TFA flavors I've bought too! A few are ok, but most are off-putting in smell and taste that's too perfumey for me no matter what strength I make them at.
I still need to try Hangsens. The only Tobacco Express I have is French Pipe. It's not as good, to me, as Vaping Zone's French Pipe!
When I first ordered some VZ SCs, I had read someone's post where they said to start with 3 or 4 drops in a 5 ml bottle of nic base. I tried that method and it works for me! I've made some adjustments to that because some flavors need 5 or 6 drops in 5 mls lol. I've never had to put more than 7 or 8 drops or they are way to strong for me!
Some I vape right away but most of mine benefit from a few weeks steeping time, perhaps because I use 100% VG nic base diluted with a tiny bit of distilled water. (There's a thread about using an ultrasonic jewlery machine to accelerate steeping, but I haven't tried it yet. I just let mine sit on the shelf while I'm experimenting and making new concoctions lol)
I'm sure others will be along to help you out. I'd be curious too, if any one knows for sure, if the exact same flavors are sold by the different vendors. How would they know? Do they work for both places and really know what's used? Or will they be just saying that the flavors taste the same to them?
Also, I've found, that different vendor's nicotine bases have their own, different distinct flavor (even though they are unflavored, but you know what I mean)... which effects the final taste of our DIY ejuices!

You have that right, the ECX tobacco express is their super concentrated stuff. IMO, between VZ and ECX there isn't one that's superior. They're pretty similar, but not exactly the same. (I can think of one exception though: ECX MLB = VZ Realcig). The Hangsen might not be as concentrated as the other SC flavors. It seems like most people use the SC flavors in the 2% to 3% range, and they use the Hangsen in the 5% to 8% range... another exception: in the ECX thread JimiD was saying that he's enjoying some of the Hangsen down in the 2-3% range.
Hopefully you'll find some that you like. When I started DIY I spent a lot of time trying to mix a good tobacco with lots of different FA and TPA flavors, and didn't have much luck. I've been really happy with almost all of the SC tobaccos that I've tried though.

I have been DIY since I started vaping a little over 3 months ago, I found that I only like the tobacco flavors too, which I really was shocked by. My favorites are vz's real cig and black and mild. I haven't liked the honey flue cured, it is too grassy of a flavor, kinda like hay. I thought forsure I would love fruit flavors and dessert flavors but I find myself sticking strictly to the tobacco's. I think french pipe will be in my next order but I have a lot of vaping to do before I need to do another flavor order. I have a lot of flavors that I may never use but tastes change and I have a lifetime of vaping ahead. Love those tobacco super concentrates by Vaping Zone...the BEST! I did make a batch where I put all my tobacco flavors together and that was really good. Great thread. I wish it was going strong still.
The two brands are almost identical with some name differences in the actual flavors and perhaps a flavor or two that are not duplicated by the other line. Both TE and VZ are super concentrates. Hangsen falls into a special line of its own "Essence" and its concentrated but not super concentrated. Hangsen is good stuff but to me it requires more a steep than SC's---like a good week or two.
