That seemed to be my magic number with the French Pipe. And after a long steep it really rounds out a bit, the sweet notes become more aromatic than taste IMO. With 2.5% a long steep just led to diminished flavor, and over 3.2% (up to 5 was as far as I went) I ended up with too much sweetness, even after the steep.

I think its a great juice, but it still needs something for that 'dark tobacco' side of the equation. But I tend to feel this way about most juices, even my favorites. I want to try mixing it with Cigar (when I get it), black and mild, VFC, etc to see if I can get it right. Maybe even 555.
I think the 555 would do it.. It had a darker tone of the three.

jimi, why wouldn't you just use the 1ml mark on the pipette and count back into the bottle to get the drops per ml. Maybe I'm missing something.

The mark on a plastic pipette is hard to read, and if it's a bulb/disposable type there's no way to steady it. Of course it's simplest to drip straight out of the flavoring bottle, but since he said he was using the pipette, he may as well know what the average drop size is on that pipette with these alcohol-based flavorings, by counting the drops required to fill the 1 ml syringe barrel.

I am curious and it does not really matter to me, but is Jimi D. associated with this vendor or just a fan?

not trying to start anything, I am just curious.
Just ask me? NO WAY!! I could never sell e cig stuff! I'm too hot headed. I couldn't handle unsatisfied customers....lol

I'm enjoying the French Pipe at 3%, but have to agree it is a bit "thin." I haven't tried 5%, etc yet, so that might fix it for me. But, I would be VERY interested in hearing what other flavors you come up with to round it out. Please keep us informed.

I'm still very new to DIY and a bit hesitant to just start throwing different flavors at it.

Quick question. I know vaping can cause rapid heart rate, how ever since I have been vaping cherry DIY I have cut the mix in my tank twice with straight VG. Now yesterday was good not really any issues just some flutters here and there and this evening the the rapid heart rate has returned its kinda like it was when I had that nicotine over load but this time no headache. I am starting to wonder if maybe this might not be nicotine related. Has anyone else had this issue?

How long have you been a vaper? Over and under dose of nic give the same symptons.

I have vaped a ton of these flavors with no problems along with the cherry mentioned here

I have also lowered my nic with these flavors from 24mg to 20mg. Not that I felt anything negative but I got enough th with the lower nic level so I saved a few pennies on nic

I have been vaping since March 2011. I really do like the cherry very much and have 10 bottles I have made of other flavors. I have yet to try. As good as these flavors are I would really hope I am able to vape them because I have only found one vendor and one flavor that I really loved then last order I made it was bad or something. The concentrate flavors just do it for me, the rapid heart beats just concern me a little. Maybe I could be under dosing then. When I had that nicotine over load I did cut way back on the nicotine.

The percent of flavor/alcohol is so low it should not effect anything. What percent flavor did you use? Have you tried other vz flavors? Could you like these flavors so much that your vaping more than normal?

Perhaps you missed Charlz posts? 2311 & 2317.

Personally, I have spent the weekend isolating certain things and have come to the conclusion that I am reacting to the B&M. I don't know why but it's exactly as you have described. Scratchy throat and wheazy. I even had a moment of irratic heart beat. Too bad too. It was so awesome, I was vaping it even as I concluded it was the B&M. And then for a little while more. I want to vape it now! Good thing the FP is awesome too even though I am cracking it open a little early. It will keep me away from the other stuff until I can order more.

Just throwing this out there Charlz but is it possible you accidentally added more nicotine than you meant to or realized? That could explain all of those symptoms.
I thought so too so I started over. My entire stash got prediluted to 24mg before flavor and vg. Had a moment of distraction in the middle when I got a phone call so I thought I may have. I actually got hopeful for a moment that I was just overdosing. Not the same reaction though. Similar but without the buzz-n-crash. And the FP came from the same base. Lots of other flavors to choose from so I'm not totally heartbroken.

I added 42 drops in each bottle including Cherry. As for vaping yes I have been vaping more than usual before I was vaping flavorless these flavors well I only have cherry to go by are delishes so I cut my nic down so I could vape more with out the nicotine overload.

One would hope or guess that it's probably true, but no one knows what these chemicals are or how we will react.

ECF is my favorite place to read about and share experiences so that we might learn if our guesses (or perhaps suspicions) might be confirmed with what empirical evidence we come up with. I know many of us love these flavors and would hate for this to be the case, but I would caution that we not dismiss any possibility such as a flavoring being a potential issue.

There are plenty of medications (even for treating arrhythmia, e.g. Corvert) that are measured in micrograms, rather than the milligrams we measure our nic in.

I think tomorrow I will call and make a appointment with my doc just to be on the safe side and also to rule out any issues. Thank you all for your help.

The percent of vapers having problems seems to be very small with these flavors. Seems like more vapers have problems with pg and you will see lots of high vg users in this thread.

Narrow it down... are you using a new bottle of pg...vg...or nic? Or have they been used before?

What percents did you use for your mix... pg..vg..nic... and flavor

On the flipside, I would say that part is HIGHLY likely in many cases :p

These are super concentrated flavors and are different from any others I have tried. If you mix too much it just tastes like it's too strong rather than having to find the right percentage to even produce a flavor that's good. It's more like "oops, I added too much sugar and now it's too sweet" and not "holy crap why does this taste like grass now"
I only have two flavors to go by. One gives me a weird, reaction and one does not. It's definitely real and independent of vg/pg and nic BUT goes away the moment I switch to something else. I won't know more until I order more and I have an eye on quite a few.
