New switch for Mini Woodvil, a poll

Rob really seemed to want our opinions on the new switch.This is what he said last night:

I thought this would be a good place for us to state our thoughts so he can just check one place!

I think the switch/button is snazzy. But I really like the old button better for the Woodvil. I realize the new might push easier, but I like the feel of the button that is now on my Woodvil's. With the catch cup and ring around the button being different I think having the old solid black has a better look. Would I buy a new Woodvil with the new switch? Sure I would. If Rob decides that the new one is the best choice, that is fine with me!

i don't own a wood reo but ...is this switch better ?? or cheaper ?? looks like it could be a good switch ... i think if rob wants to change it then it should be changed ... he is the builder ... and knows what is the best for all of us as far as life of the switch ...

I don't have a problem with the new button, I'm getting a Mini Woodvill no matter what, but am wondering if the "silver" could be spray painted black with some Krylon or something similar? Or are "silver" catch cups available?

I agree with lawnman. I trust Rob's judgement. He has never steered us wrong yet, has he?

I like it just fine. The outside looks good to me.

The inside looks much better, I like the bigger deeper barrel and the fact that the pos wire is soldered behind the feed tube It makes the inside look much better IMHO !!

Its a winner IMO, but I will have to click one to be sure. +1 on trusting Rob's opinion though.

If your worried about it not matching anything else ..... get a nice shiny IKV atty on top.

It will match that just perfect ... problem solved

Rob that matches my woodville send it this way and I will test the button for everyone. Seriously folks Rob would never put a sub standard button on a product that we have all bought and grown to love. Great Pride and craftmanship goes into this product and I am sure the button will be just fine. Keep up the good work Rob, YOUR THE mod BUILDING MAN!!!!!!

...just a preference...some folks wear gold, some like silver...I think the new button, and a silver colored (stainless/chrome plated) catch cup would be cool..but I'm more of a silver guy anyway..

But having said that, If I had the one pictured, I would probably paint the silver trim out to be black....seems easier than trying to change the color of the cup....

I really like the button/switch that's on my woodvil now...

I think the question goes more to the looks of it.
Rob knows we can't judge the performance from a picture ... I think the styling was whats in question.

But being an old timer Big Hitter the hardest thing to get use to is change. I remember in my younger days things didnt seem to change this quick. So as the younger generation says Go with the Flow, so I just sit back and watch. And I kinda like the look of the new button it has already grown on me in the last two days.

My only issue was the color contrast I wish it was all black but it doesn't come like that. I could paint them but I am afraid the paint wouldn't hold up to are heavy vaping fingers. I suppose a touch up would be easy enough if it did fade or chip in time.Keep them opinions coming. I have no plans to change the switch on the woodvil its a perfect fit in my opinion.

I like both switches. I actually think the new one might look a little more proportional, so I guess I'd vote for it. I just want him to choose one and use it (either)....because if he gives us a choice, we'll all have to have one of each. Such is the nature of obsession....

I've all ready thought of that. Think of the collection I would have if the switches were offered in colors
