I recently purchased a Beyond Vape Silo Lite with Aspire BVC coils to use on my iStick. When using the tank with the BVC coils I had a problem getting juice in my mouth with the smaller tip. In fact, juice would actually collect in the tip until it was nearly full. I tried the wide tip and this worked better but eventually I could taste juice.
I contacted Beyond Vape and they stated I must be pulling too hard, which I wasn't. I tried turning the wattage up from 5-6 to 8-9. This didn't seem to help so being new to all of this I decided to enlarge the holes in the base one size thinking it might not be getting enough air over the coils causing too much juice to flow into the coil. (It was just a wild guess reading that many open the holes on their tanks).
Now, I can get a pretty decent vape, though pretty airy since each hole is now 2mm if I keep the watts to between 6 and 7. The problem now is that when the coils initially fire I hear a few pops and sometimes I can actually feel little drops of juice hit my mouth. Turning up the wattage only seems to make it pop more, which makes sense, and I can taste it more. The narrow tip works better also, however, it eventually seems to collect enough juice to eventually become filled again.
The coil starts clear and not flooded. I have tried closing off one air hole just in case I actually created too much air flow and nothing seems to be the right answer. It seems if I let it sit between vapes it is better. If I vape normally like I would smoking then this seems to get worse.
I could use it like this but it would not be the ideal setup. Of course Beyond Vape asked me to try the BDC coils and while they work the flavor seems to disappear. If it wasn't for the brief popping and the mist of juice that seems to hit my mouth I would not have any complaints. Maybe this is how they work and I am being too picky. The Aspire BVC (not Nautilus) coils do not have any screen over the tops of them as I have heard some say exists on the Nautilus. Could that be the issue? I am looking for ideas as I am basically out.
