Sitting down, facing forward.
I found a problem with the Invader today. I was out mowing the lawn and wearing ear muffs/AM-FM radio and listening to an AM talk show. Every time I took a hit I got a squeal out of the radio from the RFI the thing give off. Jeesh, it's in a zinc enclosure that should stop most of the RFI. Maybe I need to ground the case of the Invade to the ground of the radio or tractor (NOT!!!!).

I think soeone posted this ear;ier in the thread. I have tried it but it doesnt always work for me. Im sure mine is getting worse actually. I mailed heatvape about getting a V2 replacement on the basis that the V1 is intrinsically defective. I am not holding my breath for any reply ;)

btw if anyone is interested in UK, redjuice are selling the V1s for £24.95 plus postage...even with the glitches, this is a good deal...

Buy the Heatvape Invader Mini at RedJuice.co.uk
My trick is to press and hold the fire button for 5 seconds and then do the 5-click, has worked for me every time, turns on and retains settings. It's designed to go to sleep after 50 minutes inactive.

the problem is that it doesnt sleep after 50 minutes, it effectively powers off and that is a big mistake in the firmware! This has been corrected in V2...

I just coiled using titanium, Grade 1. Fogger V6, 28 gauge, 7/8 wraps on a 14 gauge needle, .2 ohms net, wicked with rayon and running at 280. Titanium has a different base resistance and a different resistance curve than nickel so you're sort of on your own with temperature, but rule of thumb is start about 100F lower than nickel and work up from there.

Contrary to internet myth, titanium wire used in normal vaping applications will not self combust unless terribly overpowered. If you used 200 watts or so on a 28 gauge coil with no wick and liquid to cool it, it MIGHT go up, but to be honest, I seriously doubt it. Could be wrong, but I don't think so.

Just my opinion and worth exactly what you're paying for it.
