If your clearomizer is not working you may need to pull the clearo pin out a touch cuz it's not making a connection with the battery. All carto, etc should only be finger tightened on battery.

Starts at 4:45...can also use a bent pin to pull connector out JUST A TOUCH

Ok thanks for link clearomiser now workovly and no burnt taste :) not sure what is going on with the carto

I'm using cartos right now.. and I find them good.. but my issue is I"m trying to keep the budget down, and get to a break even or even saving $100 before i start going crazy again with equip.. I'm thinking of picking up a clearo because that way I can switch flavors a little easier.
Do the Clearo atomizer/cartomizers last longer than a carto? I'd be looking at doing weekly / bi-weekly washings of it with daily use of probably around less than 1ML through it a day.

Hi Tater_salad
I am new to this game been off regulars now for almost 3 months and the savings do build up fast so hang in there, it all about choice TBH. i've not had a lot of luck with the cartomiser i got with my Riva starter kit but other carto i used have been know to last a week or more with washing out and refilling, so to answer your question the cost can work out about the same. One main advantage i find with clearomiser is you can see how much you are vaping and plan for what you need E-juice and budget from there just shop around for the kit/hardware and E-juice the prices do vary a lot and don't jump to the cheapest e-juice you can find as that may put you off big time if it is a bad one, the old saying goes you get what you pay for, is true to a point but a fool and him money can be easily parted too :) i am rapidly learning to get tester bottle 5 ml no more till you find a Juice you like at a price thats right and then your start to find the cost saving.

You will also find threads here IN ECF's UK forum about recommendations of e-liquids -

Puzzled though why you aren't getting on with the cartos you got with the kit. If you fill them well to begin with & keep them topped up so the wadding looks nice & slushy, Boge cartomisers are IMHO brilliant.

Hi Chrissie
Sorry it been a a few day ,i know what you mean about cartos got a new batch from vaperscape.co.uk they work lovly on first fill and seem ok for the first 1 hour or so then just seem to go down hill fast for me i am begining to think i am vaping way to much lol i dont seem to have a problem with using a clearomiser still using the one i got with the kit a few weeks back and only washed out once.
it is very odd as i have gone back to my min cig a few time and the cartos i got with them that have been cleaned and used loads of time i dont have a problem with getting a burnt tasted at all. i am thinking it may be the juice i got it was a spacial 50 mil for £10 has anyone els found the juice you get make a big differance ?

Realize those cartos hold 1 ml. I began with Boge 2.0 ohm 1 ml cartos. Almost immediately I moved up to XL 1.7 ohm (1.8 ml) cartos cuz was getting tired of refilling and also worried about carto running dry and filler getting burnt. Next bought a tank to use with my carto- could see the juice level and only had to refill tank twice? per day.
With carto+ tank my cartos last...before getting tight draw:
light juices- 80-90 ml
dark juice- 50-60 ml
Never bought the Stardust or Vivi until they resolved the wicking and cracked tank issue.
I now use Vivi Nova and Stardust but find the Vivi has better air flow on my Kgo. Still occasionally use tank+ carto as it's a different vape. I vape anywhere from 60/40 to 80/ 20 PG/ VG without issue.

Hi vapoor i am using the standard clearomiser , got a Stardust 3 to use on my riva but keep finding that it stops working and have to clean it out daily and move the pin at the bottom to make a connection not ideal, at all but at least i dont get the burn taste that way.

Am looking at a tank solution for my carto as i find am constantly filling the Boge 2.0 ohm carto as well , also worth thinking about for new vapers is have found when filling for first time using condom method top off with drip and leave it over night seems to help a lot .

Yes depending on the darkness of the juice you're using the Stardust may need to be cleaned more. Here's a product I'm waiting on:
Genesis DiD Clone (Rebuildable)
Uses stainless steel as the wick and is rebuildable over and over again.
As for tanks the best ones I've found, although they don't look pretty" are the ones with a "side screw"- clean and easy refilling and easy enuff to depressurize the tank...tanks get negative pressure and sometime have to be "equalized".

So there is no wick to burn ??
what runs out and needs replacing as this could be a good cost option for long turm.

No there's a stainless steel mesh wick and the regular coil/ element/ wire. When it all gets gunked up you merely insert new SS mesh and recoil the element. I'm considering it because it's a "clean" delivery system. Understand I have not bought yet but the reviews look good. Also understand the "original" DID sells for $80.00.
