Hello everyone,

As the title says, I'm brand new here and to eCigs in general. I'd heard about them a while back when it was just a small thing in China but I dismissed. Recently though, I clicked on a banner ad for Blu Cigs and I have to say, I'm intrigued. I've looked into other makes and models, but Blu Cigs still seem like the most attractive option.

However, I live in Canada and some people appear to be having problems getting eCigs over the border and getting them stuck in customs. So it looks like Blu Cigs are out, much to my dismay (the charger "pack" just seems like a must-have) as I'm pretty sure that they are an American company.

So, here's my question, what types of eCigs are available to us Canadians? Are there any that make use of a PCC like Janty or Blu?

I'm looking for something at a similar pricepoint to Blu

You can get all the best models in Canada.

401 - electronic-cigz.com - Premium E-Cigarettes, Cartridges and Supplies

901 and 801 - Vapes Mart - Canada's #1 Supplier of Personal Vaporizers and Accessories

510 - Happy Vaper - Quality Personal Vaporizers and DIY Smoke Liquid

There are other good suppliers but these are the ones with really good prices. There are also the other models where the atomizer is part of the cart but my own personal opinion is that they are quite horrible. The cart material inevitably burns and the vapour has lots of volume but is very thin. Someone else can post the links to those :)

Can I buy cartridges from a different supplier and use them with the 510? The carts sold by happy vapor appear to be non-nicotine which doesn't appeal to me.

You can buy the eliquid and fill the carts yourself or better yet, start dripping directly on the atomizer. The majority of vapers quickly learn is it far cheaper to refill carts than it is to buy new ones.

I was actually just looking into that. Just so I have a handle for how much I'm buying, what's the average cartridge to ml ratio. Like, how many cartridges could I fill with a 30ml bottle?

It depends a lot on the model you are using. The average amount of juice used seems to be about 2-3ml a day. Based on that you can count on about 10-15 days from a 30ml bottle.

Hi tyfighter. I'm pretty much in the same boat as you, in fact I had ordered the Blu, but canceled my order today because I'd read of all the customs problems. They were really nice about it too.

I've basically decided to follow your lead to get the 510 from HappyVaper and juice from electronic-cigz, although I also ordered their USB passthrough kit as I'd like to try different models. I'm concerned about the JC's juice though as it seems to get very mixed reviews and was wondering if anyone knew of any other canadian vendors for juice (with nicotine please!).

You can get juice with nic from Vapes Mart - Canada's #1 Supplier of Personal Vaporizers and Accessories

I had a bad experience with the vanilla and the menthol I got (menthol tasted like Marlboro and vanilla didn't taste good). It may have just been what I received or he may have gotten a bad batch...I don't know....The Marlboro was nice.

I have tried a few JC juices and my favorite is Tennessee Cured. The strange thing is when I first started vaping, I didn't like the TC, but after a few weeks I tried it again and it is now one of my favorites.

You'll love the 510. I highly recommend the PCC. It allows you to charge the batts while you're on the go.

Hope that helps.

Just as an update:

My 510 finally ships today after a two week long fiasco with paypal. I've had my juice since last friday and its been pretty lame waiting for the actual device with the two bottles just staring me in the face. I've been doing a LOT more research on everything eCig and my head is just spinning. I have a million plans for DIY juice and I've noticed myself referring to analog butts as carts for some reason. I absolutely can't wait to receive my 510.

So I just got my 510 and oh my god, this whole eCig thing is pretty amazing. I'm gonna have to wait a week or two for flavours, it looks like. At least till my smell and taste are back full force.

I'm only coming up on three years smoking analogs and I really don't think I'm going to make it to that anniversary thanks to the Joye-510 and Happy Vaper!
