Hey guys, just joined the forums and can't wait to start vaping after my friends got me into it. However, had some questions in regards to the prodigy V3.1 that I ordered. I ordered it with the Dura 510 adapter (which i'm guessing is a cartomizer type) and was wondering if i ordered the correct battery set up. I ordered the 3.7v AW style battery which I heard can burn up the adapter fast. Should I have ordered the smaller voltage ones? Thanks in advance.

Thanks Calico for the replies, I'm still confused as to what the 510 means. When I was ordering from puresmokers, I realized there are two different options for adapters. I guess my question is, what's the difference between the two, and whats the difference between the two different battery options. Thanks!

510 means the type of threading it uses on the head connector. You can run any type of cartomizer on it as long as you have the correct adapter. An adapter is just a small piece that you screw into the head of your PV connection. If you bought a 510 connection and want to run 901's, you need to buy a 510/901 adapter. Make sense?

The differences between the battery options are the amount of volts it will put out. AW provides 3.7V and the lifepo will produce 6V. You're better with the 3.7V just starting out with this PV. It's my favorite all mechanical PV...I have 4 of them.

Thanks for the clarification hairball, it makes sense now. Now, is it true that I can get more longevity out of a 3.7v mated to a LR 510 carto? More so than good TS and flavor, I want to be able to use it longer even if it means sacrificing a little bit of quality.

510 refers to the threading on the connector/adapter.Almost anything 510 will work-atomisers,cartomisers(except ego specific, they will work with a proper length adapter). The 3.7v won't hurt the adapter, many people use it at 6v,the 901 adapter allows the use of 901 atomisers but the 510 has many more options than a 901(carto tanks, lots of different atomisers and cartomisers.)

You won't sacrifice anything running it at 3.7V with low resistance. The batteries will last you most of the day.

SR will provide a cooler vape than the LRs. If you use HR, you need to run at 6V because the 3.7V won't properly fire your atty or carto.

Cool, okay last question sorry haha XD so the only difference between the 510/dura and the penstyle/DSE801/RN4072 are the threading? and both have the same qualities in terms of TH, flavor and longevity right? (I'm taking those model names directly off of puresmoker's website)

The adapter is just a means to an end so to speak. Your flavor will depend on the juice and whether you drip on an atomizer or whether and what type of cartridge or cartomizer you use. Battery life varies on mah type and amount you use it. TH can be dependent on all the previous stuff. It's what makes it a bit difficult for some to find what works best for them. A lot is trial and error.
Did you plan on dripping or using something you can refill?

It appears to me if you are using it with the supplied cartomizers that came with it you should be fine with the rubber stoppers. For using it with an atomizer you need the drip tip, or some use a tip for a cooler vape with some hardware. That is based solely on looking at the product description I hope some one else helps you more soon.
