Like it says, I am new to this. I have tried my aunt's e-cig from move2vapor (not trying to advertise, just don't know about products). She has been smoke free for a year now with it. I seem to like the flavors and the way it works. Right now I have been huffing on one my wife got me got me from the gas station (high quality safe product I am sure). I have been reading around here for a few hours now, and of course I have questions.

I smoke about 2 packs a day. I tend to chain smoke.
I go to school full time. I am on the computer a lot at home.
I like a decent throat hit, and I like the little clouds (feels more like smoking).
I want an auto e-cig. All I want to do is refill a few cartridges, recharge them at night, and go. I would like something that feels like a real cigarette.

I think I need a medium dose of nicotine (cause I will probably tend to overdo it).
I want something easy, reliable, with a decent battery life.
I would also like to deal with one company only, so that would include accessories and juices (wrong term maybe).
Finally, I am not rich and do not want to carry anything that looks to girly (not meaning to offend just don't want a hot pink cigarette with sparkles to carry around). Anything in Mossy Oak would be nice.

Could anyone suggest a company or style that might suit me? A jumping off point for research.
The 501 looked bulky, and the 801 seemed to have 3 different parts.

Thank you,
Lars

I am more than happy with my Ego battery and some Echo-E Dual coil cartomizers. These cartomizers hold a ton of juice so you shouldn't have to fill up often, plus they seem to last several refills. I agree that a passthrough sounds like a good choice for you but remember to have a backup because it really sucks having to wait for your battery to charge when you are jonsing for a vape. I am sure you can find all of these items from various vendors but I know you can get everything from NW Vapors. Enjoy!

Guy at work got himself a e-cigarette online somewhere, looks exactly like a cig and it an auto. He thought it was o.k. untill he tried my eGo and asked me to order him one next time I place an order... :2cool:

On the other hand, I've heard great things about some 808 kits (Kanger, bloog, volt) This may be another great option and they're pretty inexpensive. Welcome and good luck!

The only reason I am chiming in here is because you said you want an auto battery. I will say it's not as scary as you think to push a button but if you are insistent on this feature, while you are checking out Northwest vapors that Hildicat pointed you to, check out the Echo. It fits all the criteria you have listed and more.

it feels like you are smoking as far as vapor production although it will feel like you are holding a cigar

Everything that resembles a cigarette has crappy battery life. If you insist on that style, I hope you have a power outlet close because you'll constantly use it. If not, then get at least 5 batteries. Also, automatic batteries will fail completely if you get juice down inside it. It will kill the sensor rendering your battery useless.

I recommend getting an eGo kit from E-Liquid and Electronic Cigarette Shop - Category Listings. Yes, it's bigger than a cig...more like a cigar but you'll be happier with the life. Also, they are manual. Manual gives the user more control and IMO, a better hit.

Welcome, Lars. As you can see from my siggy, I am a Volt fan. It has gotten good reviews from people who know more about PVs than me.

You can get prefilled or blank cartos at Smokeless Image. You can also get a PCC to charge your batteries on the go.

I am just throwing an idea out there. I hope you research and shop around and see what is best for you. Good luck and happy vaping.

The Volt also has sealed auto batteries which should make them harder to kill with juice leakage.

be wary of the "buy an ego" thing that will chime over and over again as if they are waiting to pounce on newbs coming forward for help. The style of cig you have there, that you have stated you are happy with and like how it works, is an 808 style cig. I too was a newb and I almost went back to smoking because I "upgraded" to an ego. the basic ego may give you a longer lasting battery but it will produce a much less satisfying vape experience than your standard 808. this is due to the ego working at a lower voltage than regular 808s. Your jumping off point is to look for anything that runs at 4.2 volt, and or regulated at 3.7v. This is your basic full flavored cigarette. Your basic ego runs less than that. It's like offering you a light 100 cigarette because it lasts longer and saying because it is longer lasting, it will satisfy you more than a regular cig. While I do feel that everyone is here to help, there is also the fact that ecigs are only a few years old in a technologically changing world. Automatic batteries now are not inferior to push button batteries and are very reliable. you can find ones that match all of your criteria except for the fact that you may want to consider a bigger battery until technology catches up and we are able to invent a battery that is cig sized and will last more than a couple hours. Some people, like myelf have embraced this fact by buying a big auto battery that will last all day while others buy a basic kit and buy more batteries as they see fit. You have an 808 and are happy. look into that and go from there...

I think the above is going to be a bit confusing for a beginner. You are talking about the working voltage of a battery and most batteries are sold as 3.7V PV's. Regardless of the voltage they deliver to the cart. I notice the Liberty-flights lists both the Riva and the Joye Ego as having a working voltage of 3.3-4.2v. Unless something has changed in the past few months the joys Ego has a regulated power supply and delivers a working voltage of about 3.4 volts.

The difference between working voltage with a load or in this case a cartomizer and battery voltage is important because it is the combination of working battery voltage and the atomizer's ohm rating that determines the amount of hit and smoke.

The more power battery sends to the coil the more juice that can be vaporized.
power = watts
More volts = more watts = more hit and smoke.
Lower ohms = more watts = more hit and smoke.

Using more watts will also drain your battery faster.

With the same voltage you will get a lot more hit and smoke with a 2.0 ohm cartomizer than with a 3.0 ohm cartomizer. To say a battery gives good smoke and hit doesn't really mean anything. It the combination of battery and cartomizer that matters.

If you are going to use 2.0 ohm or lower you need a large battery for safety, battery life and just the ability to deliver enough current to a low ohm cartomizer.

I too started with a ecig that looked like a real cig and was automatic. Was not doing it for me! Glad I found cignot and the ego's

Welcome, my suggestion would be an ego which is a 510 model and would fit 510 cartos. An ego is bulkier than a battery the size of a cigarette, but you will be much happier with the battery life. Vapor4Life has them inexpensive and also the cartos & juices you will need.

Best wishes!

If you would like a smaller ecig, Halo makes a great one with a longer battery life. The Halo liquid is the best on the market imo. The starter kit would include all that you need to begin.
