I started off at 31 mg's...and quickly went down to 5 mg's. (You kinda have to do the higher nico to start with, just until you learn to 'trust' the ecig to do what it's supposed to do-kill the crave) Just remember that if you start getting a headache, to stop vaping for awhile. A headache is the first sign of getting too much nico. And don't forget to drink lots of water. vaping has a tendency to dry your mouth out.

Welcome and great advice here! I love the feel of the KR808's for feeling like a real analog, I still use mine out and about. Great idea to get a big batt for at home so you can chain vape if you want to. Have fun buying new vape toys and remember to reward yourself with new juices and new vape toys regularly :) It is worth it and money well spent on your health. bnrk

I also started out on one of those "mall" brand cig look alikes. It was all good at first but things like batt life took me right back to cigs. On my second attempt I started re-filling the carts that came with them. I tryed to find a tabacco flavor. None really tasted like a real cig but some were still good. Next time I took a puff on a real cig it tasted like ****! Once you get away from that "it should look like a cig" and move on to a pv and juice thats looks nore tastes like a cig you know you got it beat.
best of luck to ya :)

hi guys! just wanted to update you. received my volt last night. my first thoughts are that i shouldn't have ordered 18mg nicotine cartomizers. they didn't give me the effect that i was expecting. the vapor production is ridiculous though - and i mean that in a good way. i just ordered 24mg, and i'm crossing my fingers that it will make a difference! i ordered it in 80/20 pg/vg. i hope i got that one right if i want major throat hit!
one thing i must say - smokelessimage has THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE. they are so helpful and informative. for that reason alone, even if something may be defective, i feel safe with them. also, shipping was superfast. i ordered my pro starter kit on monday @ 3:20. i had it by wednesday. anyway, i know what you're all going to say - if i want throat hit, then i should go with a bigger ecig. but unlike many others, i really do need something that is as close to an analog as possible. even an ecig is too heavy and a bit uncomfortable - but hey - it's worth getting used to if it will help me quit!

I told you that they are a good company.

As far as throat hit, the pv has nothing to do with it. It's the nicotine and pg. the bigger pv will give you a hotter vape, which some confuse with throat hit.

Don't forget to get your free battery from them

I have to disagree with the above advice. I am a former Parliament Lights smoker (1.5 PAD) and if I had tried to quit using 14mg liquid, I'd still be smoking. Go as high as you need to. I used 36mg for nearly two years and I'm still alive to tell the tale.

I would recommend that you order an assortment of nicotine strengths and maybe some zero or 6mg to dilute if you find that it's too strong. It's much better to combine liquids to lower the nic level than it is to find yourself craving cigarettes because you went too low on the nicotine.

I agree with VapingRulz. I bought my first kit over 18 months ago. No matter how hard I tried or how much I really wanted to give up the analogs there were just some times when vaping didn't satisfy the craving, notably first thing in the morning and, to a lesser extent, after meals. I finally found a higher nicotine liquid, and that did the trick! If you get a high nicotine liquid you an always dilute it, but one too low to satisfy is much harder to adjust. I bought a large bottle of food-grade vegetable glycerin at a local health food store to use in diluting the stronger liquid. It's been nearly two weeks now, and I haven't even craved a real cigarette.

it's funny bc now the volt isn't too heavy at all. you guys were right - it's just a matter of getting used to it!
i bought the 24 mg nic but i haven't used it yet. a bit scared..but i will. i'll buy the vg just in case i need to dilute. i'm still having analogs but less..can't wait to be off them altogether! went to the gym today and felt so much better..these ecigs are lifesavers in every sense of the word. it's amazing how liberating it is. to think that all these other things out there don't work and this fun little toy does the job..i'm ecstatic! and i never would have done it if it weren't for you guys simplifying the process! though i'm still a rookie :)
