Hello I'm Tomas, I've been a mild smoker for a few years and decided its time to embark on the ecig journey. I plan to order 0mg liquid as I plan on quitting cold turkey.

Now that the intros over, here's the kit I plan to buy: 2x ego-t 1100mAh batteries
2x CE4 cleros
2x Viquid 15mg 0mg nic. Liquid watermelon and strawberry flavor.

Questions:
Will these batteries last a full day without charging?
What should I do when I first recieve the kit to ensure that I have no problems?
About how long will 15ml last?
Will I need to use a separate tank for the two flavors or will the taste not be that bad?

And any other tips/headsup or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Welcome to ECF and congrats on wanting to quit smoking! It's good that you are starting with an eGo sized kit and skipping over the cig-a-like size that doesn't work all that well.

As far as your questions go, a lot of these can only be answered based on your vaping habits (which you will soon develop.) Your 1100 mAh battery should get you through the day, again, it depends on how much you vape. I'd say that size of battery will give you about 10 hours of vape time, maybe more, maybe a bit less.

When you first get your kit, be sure that your batteries are charged, you fill your clearos and let the wicks soak up for about 15 minutes. I dedicate one flavor for one tank, and clean them if I am changing flavors. Are these clearos disposable, or can you change the atomizer heads? I'd perhaps invest in a few more tanks with replaceable heads. The iClear 16's are nicer than the generic CE4's and will definitely give you a better vape. They are about 4-6 bucks each. Cleaning your atomizer heads is very important to maintain a good vape and a clean vape experience.

At first, you might not vape that much, then increase as times goes by or visa versa. When I first started vaping, I was going through about a mL per day, but that was with a higher nic level. Now I vape at a lower level, but I vape way more than I did at first (maybe 3-4 mLs per day.) 15 mLs should last you at least a week, maybe more, maybe a bit less.

Good luck on your vaping journey!

Hi Thomas, welcome to vaping and ECF

The 1100mAh should last you all day. Good choice
A CE5 would be a much better choice because it comes apart for easy cleaning and has replaceable heads(wick/coil). Before you use them clean them out to remove any factory oil which tastes terrible. Look up "dry burn" on youtube to see how to extend head life.
Most people vape about 3-4mL a day. Here's a poll about liquid consumption
Some flavors are pretty persistent. Multiple tanks make it easy to switch back and forth.

I'd consider getting at least some 6mg to keep on the side just in case, to have a better chance of quitting. It would give you some security and worst case, you're out a few bucks. But that's me, I smoked a lot.

Excellent and accurate advice if I should say so myself. You have a great starter kit and as stated so well above it would be wise to get some extra clearomizers. Watch youtube to find out how to clean them and you are well on your way my friend. You have just begun one beautiful journey into vapeland. Happy Vaping :vapor:

I'm pretty sure they are disposable.
Is the iClear better than the protank 2?
In terms of price and quality.
I might upgrade to one of those after I see how the CE4s perform.

I suppose there's no harm to having some nic liquid. I updated my order to a 1x 15ml 12mg nic. strawberry flavor.

Thanks again everyone so far for the excellent advice :)

I'd say that the iClears are better than the generic CE4's, but the Protank 2 is built much better than the iClears. The iClears are top, dual coil, which produce a warm vape, and the Protanks are bottom coil, giving a cooler vape. If you can afford a bunch of Protanks, give them a whirl. They can be a bit fiddly, but the heads can also be rebuilt, so that's why I really like them. It's all personal preference, really. Who knows, you could end up being a dripper, or a squonker, or loving cartotanks, or rebuilding Kayfuns . . . who knows, but it's important to get the right gear straight away, so you can be a successful non-smoker. :)

Hm, I'm going to look into the iClears
Haha what's a dripper and a sqonker?

Also, this liquid I'm buying says for the ingredients, "All Natural, No Additive colors. Glycerine, PG, Flavor." But no pg/vg ratio. Is it safe to get?

Hi and Welcome!

Congratulations on taking the first step to becoming smoke free. I wish you the best of luck in your journey!

Looks like you have a lot of good advice already, so I will limit my thoughts to the tanks themselves. I use the Protank 2 and the iSmoka BCC tanks almost exclusively. I have tried many, however these are the 2 that have brought me the best flavor and performance. That said, I have not yet tried any of the iClears, so I can't say for sure if it will be any better. There is a lot of information on these, and a lot of differing opinions, so the best advice I can give you is that vaping is a very personal experience, and everyone's tastes are different. As you are browsing and searching through the forum remember that everyone's opinions are exactly that, opinions, and they may not work for you.

As a final thought, don't count your failures by the number of cigarettes you smoke, count your successes by those that you don't!

Good. I only smoked after beginning vaping when I was sold a junk liquid without nic. So to be in the right side have liquids with nicotine you can decrease the rate on your way.

My posts may be low but I've been hardcore at it for about 7 months. You are already off in the best direction you can go by getting an ego device. They are simple, relatively low maintenance, and affordable. As far as liquids, if there is a local shop, I highly recommend going in and sampling the flavors as watermelon at one spot will taste completely different somewhere else and since you are brand new, you will want to find a liquid that you like so that it will encourage you to continue using the vape. If you are only able to order online, I recommend ordering smaller sizes and a few different flavors because A) variety is the flavor of life B) if you don't like it, your only out a few bucks. When it came to clearomizers, I tried a bunch but my personal pref was the Kanger T3 as the hit, flavor, and easy of replacing heads was what I was looking for. The Kanger protank 2 is another great tank that is easy to use and you will not have to worry about tank cracking issues that can be cause by certain flavors (another thing to read up on). Liquid consumption will depend on your use and the equipment. When I first started out I vaped a 10ml bottle over 4-5 days (now I go through about 5ml/day, but I now make my own juice which you do NOT want to attempt at the beginning). The 1100mah battery should be more than fine to use throughout the day, the key is always have your spare battery charged and somewhere close by, nothing worse than being out and about and your battery goes dead. Speaking of batteries, only use the proper charging equipment. Just about everything has a USB port but that doesn't mean your should stick everything in it. If you have seen any of the articles about batteries catching fire, every single person was using the wrong charger (iphone, laptops, etc). Also, as mentioned by another poster, read up on dry burning your atomizer (youtube can be your friend too). When the hit starts tasting funky or the vapor output is really low, its time for a dry burn and if that didn't work, replace the head which leads into order a few spare heads and keep one in your kit. Regular clearomizers can be washed between flavors, but need adequate drying time. I would recommend using one per flavor or you'll end up with a cocktail (which I have had a few accidental cocktails that tasted really good!) If you go with a protank style setup, they can easily be washed and dried and back in use in a few minutes. Its fun and exciting process and by no means every let someone talk you down for the equipment you use. Choose what you like and what fits your budget. I vape on inexpensive mods and am 100% satisfied.

Oops, forgot to address the pg/vg ratio question. Again, this is a huge personal preference issue. I found that I prefer a higher VG to PG ration usually 60/40, but I also found certain flavors better the opposite way. PG carries the flavor better than VG but I like the creamy mouth feel that VG provides me. PG is recognized as safe and believe it or not, you more than likely consume it everyday with out knowing as it is in 95% of food flavorings. A minority of the population experiences adverse side effects from PG such as an irritated throat or restricted throat feeling. If your throat/mouth feels a little dry when you vape, don't worry, its completely normal, just up your water intake. When I'm sitting on the couch watching TV I always have a glass of water with me. One last word of advice, ALWAYS order or purchase juice from reliable sources, I will not name any in the good or bad, but several quality vendors can be found right through this board. Lots of local liquor stores aka "blu cig pimps" have started carrying random brands of eliquids that I have never heard of, can't find any info about them online, and at outrageous prices.

The ego kit is a good start, thats how i started too.
1100 mah might be enough depending on how much you vape but you have two of those so no problem.
You have two flavors and two attys so use both.
If you insist on using both flavors in the same atty, just wash it before.
Asking for how long 15ml will last is a hard question, i use 3 ml a day some use less some use a lot more.

As a former heavy smoker, I went from burnies to electronic seamlessly by matching my nicotine intake fairly much so it was 36mg nic for me but the day it happened, I just didn't think about it and being a high nic content I vaped less too and I never looked back.

Being a light smoker yourself, you might notice just a bit the lack of nicotine so perhaps a 6mg as suggested elsewhere which will keep the cravings away and just move towards 0 nic over a couple weeks, perhaps have a disposable one for "just in case" because if you go back to burnies you have made it a bit harder.

I smoked for 42 years, from the moment I opened my eyes the first thing I did was spark up a smoke and I would be smoking continually all day, to go from that to a casual vaper is tremendous in my eyes and very proud of myself as I tried cold turkey and NRT's, Champix etc and nothing worked except electronic cigs :)
