I have done a lot of research on the equipment that is available. An invaluable resource is Phil Busardo with tastemyjuice.com. He does video reviews on equipment and posts them on Youtube. He is the reason I purchased a Vamo V4. The V4 if the newest version. I found a very reasonably priced unit at Welcome to FreE-Cigs.com - Live Free. This company is in the US, they will answer the phone if you have questions, and are very helpful.

I think V5 is the latest. Just ordered mine from Fairy Gifts this weekend.

Sent from my Samsung Note II using Tapatalk 2

My only current setup is a provari mini with a kayfun lite.
Was a pack a day smoker for 20 years.

Started with an Ego battery w/Iclear 30

Then purchased a Ego Twist (still used Iclear 30)

Then purchased a Kanger Protank 2 and a mini mvari from myvaporstore.com small mod that does everything a provari does for $39.99 but you can only used a flat top 18350 battery. Didn't like to carry my charger to work. *MINI* MVari-Stick - BODY UNIT

Then purchased a Nemesis Clone with a patriot atomizer. Burns through e-liquid and batteries. Will leak in your pocket. Not good for on the go. Found out I am not a fan of dripping.

Sold everything and bought my provari and Kayfun lite. Fill her up in the morning, bring an extra battery with me. Vape all day long at work. Clocked 10 hours the other day on a fresh 18490 battery. You do have to buy an extension to rock other batteries. I have a Twins Extension $35 bucks. But cigtechs has one for $15.00 and provari makes an extension for 19.00.

Here it is in 18350 mode.

So my set up retail is $319.99 with out batteries and charger. Bought all used.

If you don't want to dump a bunch of money I would recommend an Itaste MVP with a Kanger protank 2. I am going to buy both the MVP and Kanger as a back up. $80-90 bucks!
You don't need to get fancy mods to get a good vape. Whatever keeps you from not smoking is what you should stick with.

I'm on the same boat as you, though I have a n ego twist which I bought after I sold my first ego I just recently decided to go with the iTaste SVD from Innokin, chose it over the vamo since everywhere I looked they only gave the screen aspect to the vamo, I spent $110 from sweet-vapes.com buying both 18650 and 18350 batteries, charger, protank 2, the mod itself, priority shipping, insurance and signature confirmation :).

It should be shipping in a few hrs I know Im going to love it! Pbusardo got a lot of views from me comparing other mods!

Realize also the Baditude is also the proud and happy owner of a Provari so if he's recommending an iTaste MVP it must be a good one. Much easier to chose when a Vet posts with actual personal experience with a number of BB Mods IMO.
:thumb: Absolutely. I have two Provari's which typically get 90% of my attention among 9 mods. I won the MVP in a raffle drawing, and it quickly became a favorite amongst the Provari. It's extremely comfortable to hold, is not heavy but is solidly built. It is equally effective at home or out; I kept mine in a front pants pocket with an iClear 30 or Protank. The only reason I'm not now using mine is I payed-it-forward to a close friend who is trying to quit smoking. She took it to work to show her co-workers and now they want one too. The MVP deserves to be nominated for Mod of the Year.

Yeah if OP is looking for a solid long term PV which includes the capability of the manufacturer to repair the PV the Provari would be my suggestion. Have also always liked the APVs with separate batteries. That's the reasoning behind my first PV- sea partake batts and parts sold separately/ repairable.
Also forgot to mention this very important point. When I sold my Provari it had devoured a minuscule amount- tossed in some batts, a charger and some juice and was quite happy. They really do hold their value IF taken care of.

Wow! So many responses, so hard to go through on my lunch break at work. I'm seriously considering the MVP V2 now that several people have spoken so highly of it. Might have to get that AND a tube mod, haha. I'm going to look more into all the mods mentioned once I get home on a PC.

Any battery brands recommended? As someone in the tech industry I know this is an important aspect to spend a little more on. I've seen some Samsung batts out there and I'm wondering how they hold up.... Or if someone has a company they prefer.

Also any juice suppliers would be good too! All I've had are halo's juices. I'm a BIG fan of tribeca but I can see it getting old after a while. I've checked some out at MtBaker but there are just so many flavors to choose from! D:

Keep in mind, if you get the MVP you DON'T NEED BATTERIES OR A SEPARATE CHARGER! It has its own built-in rechargeable battery. This is a huge benefit.

Should you get a tube mod, this will help you choose your batteries. Basics for Mods: IMR or Protected? There's a list of recommended batteries in the link. As laidout94toy said, you can't go wrong with some AW IMR batteries no matter the mod you purchase.

Welp.

What's done is done. Just place my order from MtBakerVapor:
iTaste MVP V2 Starter Kit
Kanger ProTank II Mini (with 5 extra 1.8ohm coils)
Ocean Breeze 50/50
Freckled Lemonade 50/50
Thug Juice 50/50

and only did ~$85 worth of damage thanks to the 10% off coupon.
Looks like you (and some other YouTube reviews) talked me into the MVP V2!

Needless to say, I'm excited! Thank you all for your recommendations.
