Hey guys,
I m very new to vaping but just want to share my experience with it so far to get some feed back if possible. About couple of months ago i started vaping exclusively 100% Vg mix ejuice from Johnson Creek. My second week of vaping I started getting kidney pains so i assumed it was cause of vaping so I stopped. I was also taking some medication which led me to believe that It might have been cause of them as well so i got my kidney checked and it seemed like i had no problems with them. I waited about a month after completing my medicine intake, I ve decided to give it another try to see if I would have the same problems and luckily I didnt. It s been 4 weeks now since I have been vaping however, I started to get the tight and heavy chest feeling and that kind of concerned me a little bit so I stopped for a week and went back to analogs again and my problem went away. After week of analog usage and realizing how nasty they are and how bad they tasted I went back to vaping again and about a week after I started to get slight chest tightness feeling again so my question is that if any of you guys had the same experience like I did and if you guys did anything to reverse that feeling? Again i vape 100% VG Johnson Creek red oak Tennessee cured and nothing else. Your advice and your thoughts would be highly appreciated. thanks..

I am not a doctor but can tell you from my own personal experience that whenever I have vaped too much VG I get a terrible chest tightening feeling. I had the problem with 70% VG and even 50% VG. I finally had to reduce my VG to 30% and the chest tightening stopped. I know many people can vape VG without any problems, but for me it is a big problem.

The only reason I have been vaping VG cause of all the negative feed backs on PG. I m just afraid that my body is going to have a bad reaction but I guess you can never know till you tried. The bad part is Jonson creek only makes either VG or PG mix. They dont have any different ratios of mixture. Is there a way to play with their ration without compromising the flavor? Thanks again...

Any suggestions on where i can get an american made good quality juices that would be close to Tennessee cured flavor? i dont mean to sound like I m stuck with their flavor but I really seem enjoy the taste and their flavor and could find anything close to it.

both vendors i mentioned are US based. as far as something comparable to Tennessee cured i couldn't really give you one as i am just getting back into vaping myself. there are many different tobacco blends to experiment with. you could even get a 5x5ml sample pack of different ones to try for pretty cheap.

You could buy one of their PG's in your flavor and mix it with some of your VG .. and see how your chest feels. If you mix it half and half then it would be 50VG and 50PG. Or if you mix 2/3 PG and 1/3 VG then it would end up being 33VG and 66PG. I would mix small amounts at different ratios .. not the whole bottles. Some people have trouble with VG, some have trouble with PG .. everyone is different. In my case it's the VG.

Thank you guys for all the advice. I will give it a try to see if mixing the same flavor with different mix will fix my problem if not maybe it is the flavor and other ingredients they use in their smoke juice. It is weird how VG can also have negative side effects as well as the PG. I always thought going with VG would be the safest way and less harmful sides but i guess i was wrong. What are your thoughts on DIY? I have been reading a lot in the forums that people now actually started making their own juice. Would that be a better way to go or am i to new to get into something like that?

DIY could be fun. But there is a learning curve to do it well.

If you have the money to buy some nic base, a few flavorings you like, some measuring equipment and some pipettes to measure small doses of flavor, you should do it.

Like baking cookies, you should start simple, from established recipes, before improvising :)

As has been already mentioned, a lot of e-liquid vendors let you determine the proportions of PG and VG. I used to vape 50%-50% PG-VG and had considerable tightness in my chest. Then I switched to some 70%-30% and 80%-20% PG-VG and the tightness went away after a couple of weeks. This worked for me, but you're not me, so the proportions that work for you may well be different.

FWIW, it's also possible you're also having a reaction to some component in the Johnson Creek flavors. Some people do have reactions to specific flavors. To first isolate the PG/VG possibility, I'd first get a bottle of unflavored 100% VG and another of unflavored 100% PG, both in your usual nicotine strength, then try out different proportions, running from 50%-50% to 100%-0% PG-VG ratios. If you have no problems with any of those ratios, then it's probably the Johnson Creek flavors.

Yet another factor to consider is that a too-heavy concentration of Vitamin-N is constricting your coronary blood vessels, giving you a mild version of angina pectoris. But this is really, really rare except in folks with sky-high blood pressure readings.

To properly do DIY, you'll find yourself investing a couple of hundred dollars in nicquid, PG, VG, tools and flavors. Plus there's a fairly steep learning curve. Unless you have the soul of either a biochemist or a gourmet cook (preferably both), I encourage you to put off DIYing for the time being.

One theory though.. Could it be the atomizer? Cause I just realized when I vape from a regular 510 atomizer with tank system I'm not feeling the tightness as much but when I wipe using ego c atomizer with its tank system the feeling comes back. Could it be a possibility that ego c atomizer is the reason? Any thoughts on that?

@mostlyclassic. I already ordered some 0 nicotine with pg and vg from Johnson creek. Once I receive I will try to do the blend to see in what ratio my body will not react as much. The bad part is that I stocked up on this flavor so much that I will have to get bunch of pg ones to be able to try it gradually. Sigh... What a mess :(
