Yeah, it is so appraently clear that these are knock-offs. Some ppl don't want to see that and still want to believe that these are new and improved. Chinese manufacturers are notorious for duplicating and making replicas of any profitable item. This is true in the luggage idustry, toy industry, designer women's bags (LV, GUCCI, PRADA, etc). The copyright and trademark laws there are pretty much non-existent. Heck, I remember a while ago, all the local gas stations were selling Fake Marlboro Cigarettes because a person in the US had a contact with these fake Marlboro manufacturer's in China. Phillip Morris took over 1 year to shut them down.

I am upset because I, myself, got duped by the replicas. I just feel sorry for those ppl who wants to quit analogs, read this forum, decide on the 510 and got this immo POS. They may just give up on the vaping thing and go back to analogs.... with these ill-fitting, leaky atty's.

If it looks like and duck, walks like a duck..............

I must admit though.... I do like Eastmall's Flat Carts. Works really well. And I am not taking a shot at IV or Eastmall, because they may have been duped themselves from a fake representative from joyetech. Unless Eastmall is aware or manufacturing these, they may be victims as well. But they are going to rectify this situation for me, which is the right thing to do.

I just wish it would ship all ready. I ordered from a US supplier with good comments so I would have it before the weekend. As well as before my SE with one atty dies. I'm now on 5 days waiting for it to ship. Even if I did cancel my order by the time the money showed back up on my credit card it would still be a week from now then I would have to order from someone else and wait another 5-7 days for them to ship it and it to get here.

Just kinda stuck at this point and im trying not to jump on the IV bashing bandwagon crap happens sometimes. But its getting really really hard.

I wouldn't worry about the hardware. If you have hardware problems, IV will make it up to you. They're great about that. The only thing that gives me a little pause is the shipping issues, but I remain unconvinced that it's a long term issue. I think they just got swamped with orders and have been trying to dig out.

Given that the US suppliers might be taking 5+ days to ship things out, why not just order direct from China. It takes me about 5 business days to receive delivery from China and even with the $12 shipping, it still saves me money because it is so much less expensive per item. I am all about supporting US Retailers, but if they can't get their act together and overcharge (grossly, sometimes) for the same product, I just don't see the point. I get all my stuff now from ruyandirect.com and my liquids from TW.

Thats what I would do but all my burnable money went into this order and have another week before I get paid. And well lesson learned I ordered state side cause it "should" make it here faster but once again lesson learned.

Good Luck, man. I hope you get your atty's in time. I guess the next time you order, find another place that processes and ships within 1-2 days. Taking 5+ days tells me that they either have no inventory or working from home and can't get their act together.

I posted a solution to the new style atty problem but seeing this thread tells me no one has seen it yet. The new atty's are larger and therefore our current 510 cartridges pretty much just fall out. I have a few 901 cartridges still laying around. I decided to try one of those. Guess what? They fit fantastic. It is a tight squeeze the first time or two, but then the 901 cartridges fit into the new 510 atty's great. Also on another note. I have a few of the new atty's bought directly from joyetech and another dozen I bought from Innovapor. They all have the EXACT same serial number stamped into the bottom(J-003 305). Unless Joye is selling knock-off atty's then they are all genuine.

Were the ones you bought from IV the ones with a wide gold band on them or just a thin small band? There were selling both types up until very recently.

Both of the sets I have came with the tiny gold bands. They are NOT the titan style. The bridge is wider and taller (more pointed) and there is a small washer on the inside at the bottom. Mine are all exactly the same as the ones that were pictured earlier in this and several other threads. I live very close to Innovapor, so when I order I just go pick it up. This gave me the chance of being one of the first to get the new atty's.

As far as I know, a normal Joe like me or you can't order directly from Joyetech....unless we are dealing in mass quanities. So where did you get the Joyetech attys from ?

Can you post a link to site you ordered directly from?
This could clear up the issue.

The order was placed by a group of us.
Code:
http://www.joyetech.com/Products.Asp?cid=10
Had to fill out a form for what we wanted and wait for them to contact us. All together we ordered 60 attys and almost as many batteries. I was not the one who placed the end order.

At this point my BS detector is going off the charts. It doesn't help that no one from IV has even bothered to respond to this today, that I have seen anyway. Reps from Joye are saying they have no 'new' atomizer, at least as reported by other people here on the forum. Someone isn't being upfront. I'll make some inquiries of my own before posting again. Have a good night everyone...

Summary of what I just posted in my thread in my forum :p

Facts:
-Joye has stated they have not changed the atomizer recently.
-Rep has posted 'They get theirs from Eastmall'
-Eastmall does change certain models of other ecigs for other companies in the USA.

Speculation:
Eastmall sells a clone of the 510, if this is the case I would ask that IV change the name of the model to something else. I.E: Litecigusa.net sells the JSB-510, and calls it the 510A. Why would this be necessary? Awhile ago, people were selling the RN4075 as the DSE901...this caused a lot of confusion, especially when the two producers of the units started not to be so...compatible. It caused a lot of time answering the same question from people demanding refunds and telling me how I sell FAKE DSE901's. Especially when I sold SLB's, which are true DSE901's.

This is my only concern, whether or not these are TRULY better is another story all together. It just makes me worry, because I've already read how some of the 'new' atomizers carts don't work with the old ones, or vice versa. Just my concern :p

Rob -- I hear you. I bought my first e-cig kit from you -- DSE 901. Then I bought the SD, which comes with 4075's. It took me a while to figure out why the 901 cart doesn't work well in the 4075, and vice-versa, but there was never a question of trying to mislead customers -- they're simply, at this point, different versions, with different carts working better for each.

The 510 has apparently undergone a similar "cloning" stage -- and the sooner the cart issue gets worked out, the better for all concerned (assuming that the cloned version stays around, and is truthfully acknowledged to be a clone). Calling the clone something else, to avoid confusion, would certainly help, rather than simply a "510."

You guys made me curious. I just called the guy who placed our order. There were 12 of us all together. We placed 1 big order to get the best prices. Well, that was the plan anyway. My neighbor asked me for the link to Joye. I gave him the link I posted above. He said he filled out a form and would place the order as soon as they got back to him. He now says that he shopped at several places and doesn't remember where he placed our final order. He says that Eastmall rings a bell as well as ruyan. So it looks like mine may have come from Eastmall. This would explain the serial numbers all being the same as that is where InnoVapor gets all of theirs from. So now I don't have the slightest clue who actually manufactered the atty's I have. Not that this really matters. Now that I have solved the cartridge falling out problem I love my new atty's no matter who makes them. Maybe someone can get an actual serial number from Joye to compare with?

Yeah I was going to say, you didn't get the "new" atty's direct from Joyetech. Lina, the assistant marketing person over at Joyetech has confirmed, they have not changed their atty design, nor have they put out a new atomizer style.
