OK, website news:

v2 of the website is getting close to being ready for a roll out. I plan on adding more in stock holders as I can fit them in between runs of custom holders. Hope to have it live in less than a week.

The site will appear to look very similar to how it does now - just more menu choices through pulldowns in the menu bar. I'm adding more photo galleries, have segregated the product page into individual sub category pages that load faster and are quicker to browse. I'm considering a slide-show for the home page, but most everybody seems to be doing that, so it might not happen...

There will be a section of illustrations and explanations of the terminology used and the different hole types and what they look like. Some light instruction on how to interpret the drawings that can be viewed for all holders on the site. Most holder photo images can be clicked on to view a larger resolution version of the thumbnail.

I plan on adding a special feature to the website - as soon as I can find the right programmer to write it for me. I'll have to keep tight lipped on it right now, because I don't think anyone has anything like it. I'm hoping I can get it implemented.

I think I might need a Flash Programmer... know any who could use a killer wood holder? Or a wood... made?

Cheers-

Rick

LOVE my stand, Rick!
People, the finish is perfect, and getting something made just for your stuff is GREAT.
I don't have a collection of Mods, but I have a bunch of clearomizers, a few Egos, ONE mod, etc - and now they're safe, organized, and LOOK great on my custom-built stand.
HIGHLY recommend absolute-wood!

Thanks - Glad you're liking them. On customs, I hand wet-sand the finish with lemon oil after they've dried long enough.

And I agree - even if you don't have a bunch of MODs, a stand is a good thing. I'm even working on some designs for just 510 goodies, and some just for eGo stuff. I've made a couple customs that were just eGo holes or a ton of 510 holes. The new designs will include some smaller holders.

The middle stand is all eGo sized holes. I'll have 510 & eGo stands starting at $20 soon.

Thanks-

Rick

Rick,

I love your work. If anyone is interested in doing something that isnt on his site he may, if not too busy, work out a custom design with you like mine:

As you can see his work is up to snuff and he was a pleasure to work with. Everything arrived as I had hoped and when I hoped it would get there. Money well spent.

Niice! And Thank You for the kind words. They look so much better with their occupants.

This set holds up to 17 MODS and lots of other stuff.

I'm always open to discussing a custom holder or set - right now my turn around time is about 3-4 weeks, and I'm taking about a week to get drawings done.

Right now, I'm working on finalizing the design for a Step Holder that will house 30 MODS, Juice Bottles, Tanks & Drip Tips!

I went to the wood store today and went a little overboard...

From left: Figured Purple Heart, Wenge, Red Padauk (thin strip seen), Caribbean Rosewood, African Zebrawood (under Rosewood), Flame Oak and Figured Walnut. Hard to believe we're looking at $250 of lumber!

Now would be a great time to look into getting a custom made as I've got some awesome wood right now. Well, ya know...

Added a new line of holders to the website - 510 / 901 basic kit type holders

Also added a scrolling text box on the home page that will give brief production updates - what is in production, what's the next step, what's on order and the date it's expected to be inserted into production, etc...

Plan on working up a line of holders for eGo kits as well. After that, I'm thinking about a line of small wall hanging cabinet holders, glass doors, lockable, what 'cha think?

Hey everybody-

Just had an interview and a review published at invape.com here, check it out!

Congratulations Rick!! Very nice write-up. Kinda feel like a celebrity since my mod stand made an appearance. Oh and by the way, I will probably need an extension. I think I'm developing a problem..... I'll be emailing you soon.

Hey All-

I need to let everyone know that the 15th of this month is the last day I can take custom holder orders and get them delivered before 12/23/2013. I may have to cut off before that if I get a rush of orders - I can take on a handful more orders and get them done by the end of the year.

To get "on the list", go to my website and fill out a holder request form; as soon as we decide to go forward, I'll place you on the production schedule.

Thanks, and have a great Holiday Season!

Rick

Hey everyone-

Well, the order sheet is booked through the end of the year - thanks to everyone whom made orders.

I'm going to take a little break from any new orders for 2013 - and resume at the beginning of the new year. I'll still be making existing orders and continue to sell the In Stock holders while I'm on "vacation". Just no new orders until the start of 2014. This will give me a chance to finish up everything for a pre-Christmas delivery, and let me take a break from the aproximately 100+ hours I'm working weekly between my regular job and Absolute-Wood.

Thanks, and have a great and safe Holiday season!

Rick
