I appreciate your response and apologize for reacting the way I did. I can certainly relate to getting frustrated when people trash Evolv and the DNA200 because of things that happened with the DNA40 (a dramatically different chip), problems with a very small minority of the new chips (which is common to any new product release), or the finish on Vaporsharks (which has nothing to do with Evolv). That said, I wouldn't be surprised if others construe me as an Evolv supporter. I am an Evolv supporter so that would not be inaccurate, but still, I appreciate Yihi's offerings and can see that many people are very happy with their Yihi purchases (just as many are with their Evolv purchases). I myself love my ipv4 and can imagine that an SX Mini or other SX350J chip product is even better. That is all to say I like both companies and the competition between them will only result in better products for all of us. There is absolutely no reason that we need to argue about which one is better. What does that get anyone? What does it accomplish for those of you that bash Evolv or bash Yihi?

That's all I'll say about that, can we all please get back on the topic of this new mod and chip?

I agree with you. Both are great products and there is not any reason to bash anyone. I would like to talk about the device in the header of this thread not the dna200. It has its place in the market and its own thread. I gave up on catching up on any information it was too difficult to weed thru the b.s. Anyone have good information on the new wires its going to use, I seen Iron? Thats something I never would have expected. And gold which is the most conductive metal as far as I know this is a interest too.

Damn your the man you got me. That's funny because I just got into a fight with one of my good friends about that and I said Brandon didn't own them both. But I wonder if he is a silent partner or something because remember their was that big thing going on about them going over to China to show them the chips and both of those guys went. Plus since it's an LLC maybe his name is not on it or he's just not the CEO.

My bad I meant to send you something I actually thought the same as you and my buddy is the one that told me he did and I guess when I looked it up I got confused because originally I said the same as you but anyway you're the you're the man I can't wait to throw it in my buddies face I appreciate you pointing it out. Especially cuz he's one of those know it alls. But did you remember a couple months ago didn't they both go to China to discuss the chips being made in China. It was all over Vapor Joe's.

Evolve has a one year warranty only on the chip not the mod. If you go on Vapor sharks have sight it says it right there that they only come with a three or four month warranty.

Maybe they warranty the chip in the vapor shark but you probably would have to go through evolve because Vapor Shark I'm pretty sure doesn't even mention that. I'm not going to say I'm positive because I've been wrong before obviously

Did anyone else notice the 7.16v in the display? Probably just a bad PhotoChop job, but look at the body - same C-frame but wider edges. Could it be a 2S LiPo in there?

I'm going with no because you can see the typical bottom battery cap, same as the previous sx minis.

And, yes, would appreciate discussion related to this mod, not Evolv or Vaporshark (unless Vaporshark should start using the same chip) . There are several DNA200 mod threads already.

one of our local shops states it will probably go on sale the 2nd week of october...that is fast! He also states it will have the same price as what we pay now for the M class. (199 euro, he has a preorder for 179 euro).....

But I won't go for it..there is currently not enough info for a preorder in my opinion....and I am very satisfied with my current M class...so don't see the need yet to upgrade...unless ofcourse they add some very spectacular features they have not shown yet.

Doubt it, the other photo shows a similar battery cap to the M-class. It could be a setting of 60W power mode with a 120W preheat though.

Is there difference between preheat and power mode because when you look at the selections for preheat on the DNA 200 it says soft to power and then you move the bar right?

On the M-class, power mode (i.e., non-TC) uses Watts, not Joules. Soft/Powerful/Powerful+ preheat settings on the M-class are based on the Watt or Joules setting of that mode (e.g., at 60W Soft, the preheat is just below 60W), but with the ML-class it's unclear. Maybe you can set it to 60W with 120W preheat, yet then still apply Soft/Powerful/Powerful+ to vary the preheat some more. Or maybe it's totally different.

If the chip offers something interesting, I might replace the sx350J in my Boxer if it is of the same size. Otherwise, I'm not keen on the aesthetic changes to the ML-class, but maybe they might change it again.

Just spoke to a YIHI rep and she recommended me not to purchase the ML class if I've already gotten the M class.

The ML is essentially the M with support for more wires and comes with the SXi~Q software that allows users to select different modes and taste profiles.

Anyway, YIHI will be releasing a dual battery mod this coming christmas. Got my source from the horses mouth..
