I hope so, too. I just got another Higo from FT and mine is as nice as my first one. Did it have any machine oil? A little. But, not as much as my $200 SquapeR did. For $200 I wasn't expecting something I had to wash 3x :(
Did the Higo that you got from FT have all the updates or was it the old model?

Main buildup of machine oil was in the build deck & chimney area about six drips in all and though annoying a bit it's not a major issue as it's good practice to soak and wash all new atty's. The grub screws are a problem no maker should be having imo anymore and has prevented me using it but friend is dropping my files off in an hour so should have that sorted then :). Made the mistake of watching the vapour chronicles review of the bellus and he gave it a really negative review but in hand I haven't had any of the issue's he did the top cap came off easy and I can be a ham fisted brute force type of person.

Its hard to go by reviews/others' experiences. I haven't used 430SS. I do have 316L in my second Higo. I also have a ton of nice grub screws here for replacing chintzy ones that come with many attys.

There's a member who hates the Bellus so much he was posting about it 15x a day all over the forum for awhile, and I love the Bellus.

Thanks MMW will give that a try, yeah I normally watch reviews just to get a good look at something but the sound on my tablet is now like the wife gets loud when I least expect it and I happened to hear him talk about how he couldn't get the top cap off without unscrewing the whole chimney section. So far the bellus has been a dream to use no leaks at all build was very easy, for the money it costs the performance is great. Obviously only having it for less then 12 hours is not definitive but it's such a simple tank I can't see any obvious weak points that would concern me. I'll persevere with the higo just a disappointing first impression but I'll get it chucking flavour one-way or the other :).

Finally decided to venture away from the the micro coils it came with to some 26/32 2mmID Claptons.
So far not so impressed, the vapor production is there but the density and flavor seemed to have suffered. Also the ramp up time is significant, but that's to be expected. I'm going to tweak the wicking and if this doesn't help I'm going straight back to my tried and trusted 26G micros. Using 2mm coils definitely makes wicking the Bellus much easier.

+1 to the "Bottom 1/3 showing" Stance. Seems to be the optimal placement for Air, Flavor, and Vapor Mass all at their best.
Tried the entire Gamut of Coil placement on my Bellus Twins. Just rebuilt one yesterday and positioned the Coil completely above the AFC Slot and noticed a definite muting of Flavor in comparison to the above 1/3 Method.
Possibly too much Air making the Equation too "Lean". Only other possible explanation would be longer Wick travel. However, that can't really be it as the Bellus has one of the shortest Juice Inlet to Chamber Top Throws of any RTA (A Good Thing) there is. So, has to be a Lean Condition.
After many Field Tests,,,, gonna stick with the Lower-Third Mantra personally.

Guys I am experiencing a problem I have not seen anyone else post about. I bought my first bellus and really liked the flavor, so I ordered 3 more. I had some flooding issues with my first one, but figured I would get the wicking right so went ahead and ordered the 3 extra. I have as of yet gotten the wicking correct, or so I thought. This is a 3 or 4 month project since I started. I looked at every you tube video on the bellus, tried every wicking solution I saw and read most of the forums and looked at the pictures. Tried every wicking solution that is possible with this tank I believe. I run 2.5mm coil at .5 ohms and vape around 25 watts. I have put cotton only in the top shelf, I have had little wisp of cotton coming below the top shelf, I have just had cotton on the top deck, I have used more cotton, then tried using less cotton. Finally it hit me. All the tutorials I have watched have all been using dual coils. I prefer a single coil for the extra battery life and usually I don't notice that much of a flavor difference. When I tried the dual coil I have not had a issue. No leaking and no dry hits. When I go back to the adapter it either floods and looses about a .5 ml of juice, or I get dry hits. I have a goliath v2 and basically the adaper is the same, but have no issues with that tank using a single coil. I have numerous tanks, the serpent, goliath v2, lemo v2, Kanger sub ohn, crown, and rebuild them all. I have never had this much trouble wicking a tank. All 4 of my bellus do this. I have looked at the adapter and cannot figure out what is going on. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I think it is just a design issue as all my bellus tanks are like this. IF anyone knows a solution to this I would greatly appreciate it.

Fill it from the bottom absolutely no leaks I know it has top fill but if you use it you get leaks

I ALWAYS Top-Fill and NEVER get Leaks.
Same for many, many, many others.
Given that, Top-Fill can't be the Gremlin nor can it truthfully or logically be said that:
"it has top fill but if you use it you get leaks"

No offense just trying to prevent false Perceptions and undue/unfounded Negative PR :thumb:

What juice ratio are you using I'm currently using my bellus in single coil mode with 60\40 PG & VG and am not having any issues. My cotton is giving a little resistance when I pull it back and forth through the coil and have the cotton going halfway down the juice channels I'm also using 2.5mm ID coils so it does work.
