Bottom filled only. I have to take it off the mod anyway, I'm not taking any chances.

That black reference dna200 mod looks nice. I have an aluminum one from evolv, and its pretty beat looking now, haha.

On topic, recently cleaned up my bellus I hadn't used in a while, and have been using it exclusively the last couple days. Nothing fancy, just dual 26g coils.

Kind of makes me want to dust off the Goliath v2 I haven't used since last year.

Got a bellus today and first and second builds (one single and one dual) have been a nightmare. I've lost at least 15 ml of juice due to leaking immediately after filling (with the AFC closed). I re-wicked it a dozen different ways.

I know it's something I'm doing wrong. I have it slightly behaving at the moment. Just some slight seeping vs full out leaking. The thing gets extremely hot as well.

I'm not looking for a solution. I'll either figure out over time or shelve it for another RTA. Just sharing my experience.

Edit: 3rd build was the charm. I had been underwicking pulling the wicks above the deck out of habit (subtank) and instead put the tails in the juice channels below the deck. Ended the leaking and overheating immediately.

So I ordered one of those SXK Kayfun mini v3's from FT this morning. But after giving it some more thought I just now canceled it and ordered another black Bellus. That will be #4. The Kayfun is probably real good but the Bellus is real good.

Bellus RTA Tank
There's lots of places to buy nic but this is where I buy mine.
I did order #4 Bellus from FT though 'cause I wanted another black one and I had a $10 gift certificate

Just had a 5 day journey of discovery with mine, and yes there is something to learn from the story.

When I first got my Bellus I put in the 0.5Ω 2.5mm dual coils that it ships with, and enjoyed months of super vaping at around 50 watts. Thick vapor, great flavor you know the deal.
Then I got to thinking, how can I make this even better. I tried some 2mm ID 26/32 Claptons but had disappointing results. Pulled those out and went with some regular 26G coils again at 2mm ID as it made wicking easier, 2.5mm needs a fair bit of pruning. Flavor off, vapor production down, some leakage from the base, and I couldn't take it above 30ish watts without burnt hits. Several re-wicks and still the same. So I went back to 2.5mm coils thinking that perhaps the smaller size was somehow intensifying the heat-flux, or the wicking was restricted in some way. I rejected this line of reasoning as it made no sense, and realized something else must be the culprit.

So I took out the deck and had a proper look at it, and realized that o-ring that seals the deck section had slipped out of it's groove and was sitting around the perimeter of the deck choking off the juice holes. Not completely, but just enough to jank up the performance. The point of the story is that when you are trying to fix a problem, you have to see whats really there, and not what you expect to see, to look with fresh eyes if you will.

Always fun getting a new tank and figuring out what is the best set-up. I received my bellus over the wknd and immediately made a dual coil out of 28g kanthal. I had watched several youtube videos to help with wicking; I made them with a small tail partly in the juice channels. As others have discovered, when I top filled it with the air ports closed, I had immediate leaking... which subsided when I started vaping on it. Upon another fill, I had the same leaking.
I dissembled it this afternoon and rewicked it by stuffing cotton fully in the juice channels. Top filled and no leaking. I've been vaping on it for about 15mins and it seems to be wicking well. The coils came out to .69 ohms and I'm vaping it at 37 watts on powerful mode with my sx mini m class.:) I don't claim to be a vaping guru... just my experience. For those having problems, hope you get it worked out.

The airflow is perfect for me on the Bellus, it's the Goblin that I'm concerned about. I love my Bellus.

I DTL full time on both, the Goblin only about half open, so obviously I've never found it restrictive. Both are very good DTL; both have very good flavor--with the edge to Goblin because of its shorter chimney. Goblin however is even louder than Bellus.

Just got my bellus today, the build is dual coil 26g 2.5IAD, 6 wraps at 0.42ohms. Vaping it at 40W, it could prob take a higher wattage.

First try on the wicking resulted in leaking through the airholes with top fill. Tension on cotton was probably about 3-4 on a scale of 1 to 10.

Second try, I had more cotton in there, tension on the cotton when pulling back and forth (scale of 1-10 probably a 6 or 7). Had the tails sitting on top of the juice channel. After top fill not that much leaking, but the airholes did get slightly saturated.

I think its just how the tank is, this RTA is relatively old (mid 2015?). Flavor is great, vapor is great, form factor I like alot, too bad its just a bit leaky...

I just got this tank and set it up how I saw many do it on youtube: having the cotton sitting on top of the juice channel. Doing it this way caused leaking while top filling. Remedy: I filled the juice channels with cotton. Result: leaking stopped while filling, however, a small amount of juice still came through the air holes, but it was negligible. Wicking has been great with no dry hits using high vg juice. I like the tank, but the build deck is more difficult than I would like to do a dual coil. My Griffin is being delivered today. From everything I've seen, the build deck will be more to my liking. We'll see.

Yes, one thing I noticed is that the more wick you have the less it leaks (to a certain point of course or you might get gurgling). First try not enough wick, alot of leaking throw air hole, second try, more wick, longer wick, less leaking (slight condensation). Still annoying and I probably won't be taking this one outside.

Its just how the tank is setup. The coils sit directly behind the bottom airflow, how this tank doesn't leak regardless of wicking is really beyond me. I love the flavor (on par with my billow v2, zephyrus v2, even crown with prebuilt coils). I love the look (prefer more metal than glass on my tanks).

I've got a billow V3 coming from the states (arriving late april) so can't wait to try that out. Too bad I don't have access to get the griffin 25 with top airflow. That would probably be my next RTA as reviews have been stellar.
