Hi everyone,
just joined, am from Slovenia, small country in Europe. vaping for a year now.... But stil combining it with the analogues as this issue with a sense of burning mouth/tongue does not go away....

Will look for any advice on this forum.

Do DIY, mostly MTL user but also on DTL devices. Just got my new SXK Prime (Kayfun clone). Love Nasty Silver juice and all tobacco flavors.

The biggest issue: vaping more than 6 ml/day makes dry mouth and nose, especially during the winter. Senses of taste and smell are worse whrn vaping. Analogues actually seem to help.

That's why restarted smoking after being put solely on my vape for 6 months. The struggle was too painfull. Tried everything, at least I think so.

Hope to find some advices here...

    Hi @Amerglass

    Welcome to ECF!

Prime is one of my main attys and I DIY most of my tobaccos. First thing, are you drinking plenty of water? Vapor will expel moisture from your body from the lungs.

What battery device are you using and at what settings?

    Cheers :toast:

Welcome to ECF, Amerglass. Increase your water intake, that will probably help with the dryness issue. With the burning issue, lowering your wattage/voltage may help with that. You should post what levels you're using, as well as the nic level of the eliquid you use, and how much and how long you previously smoked.

Hi guys snd thanks for responding.

Did just explain my probs in details in a new thread under the Health issues.

Smoker for 25 years. 1 pack a day. Am mostly MTL, 4 x Nautilus 2, being exchanged with various flavors. 2 x Digiflavor Siren 2 for Rta building. So, the wattage 12 upto 18 should not be the cause. Mostly 3-4 mg of salted nic. SXK Prime still to start, expect good flavour from it although nothing did it for me like those Nautiluses with either 0.7 Ohm or 1.8 Ohm coils. Which enoy me however for weekly changing those bvc coils...

A new Freemax Pro mesh stock coiled is my DTL alternative but only a few puffs a day. 60 Watts. 2mg of salted nic. VV Kensei and Nunchaku tanks left in drawer. Revenger mods. Looking to move to a DNA 250 chip on the Paranormal mod.

Some good advice up there. I smoked 45 years, and do mtl now. In comparison to many, 6ml/day may not be a lot. But I only go thru about 2 - 2.5ml/day, with 15 mg. freebase nic, NET tobacco, all VG.
2mg salt nic? That sounds extremely low. Maybe if you up your nic significantly, you can decrease your juice consumption. Also, my mouth felt terrible when I used even 50% pg. That's why I'm all vg now. You might try going higher VG.

I kind if agree. 25 years, at a pack a day and only using such a low nic amount ? For one you will be vaping a lot more and perhaps drying out especially then going to a dtl set up and vaping more. If its possible to obtain a higher nic juice, perhaps at least 9 or 12, it will reduce your ml consumption and very well your dry issues

I second the recommendation that you try a higher VG juice. I started off with 30PG/70VG and my tongue and the roof of my mouth started to feel like they'd been burnt. I already drink oodles of water, so I was worried I'd have to stop vaping. But then a little research led me to try higher VG liquid, and that has helped enormously (though I discovered that too much VG clogs my throat and so had to tone it down--50-60VG/50-40PG strikes the right balance for me).

And, yeah, drinking a lot of water also helps a bunch.

That's funny, Zazie- in all the time I've been here, you're the first one that describes it like me. Most with PG sensitivity talk about throat issues. But in my early vaping days, really jonesing for hits and chain vaping, my entire mouth & tongue would feel like when you scorch it with hot soup or something. But I still had a hard time not hitting the vape that much. I had a bottle of Natural Dentist, or other oral rinse stuff with aloe & stuff like that at the office and home, just to be able to continue vaping. Going all VG didn't cure it completely - I still feel it if I overdo it. I also quit trying to get my nic down to 12 or below, but hang around 14-15mg. But over the last year, I'd kind of forgotten that mouth feeling. Though nowadays, I usually stay around 150- 200 hits a day. And when I overdo it with VG, it's mostly an issue with needing to clear my throat alot. Not like having smoker's cough, but just a little annoying bit.

    Perfect, thanks Vapdivrr.

Will go that way: higher nic + less vaping. Although that means letting the DTL devices out. I mostly run my Nautiluses on MTL with 1.8 ohm coils. But enjoy switcing to 0.7ohm and found the best for me - restrictive lung hits. Thoroughly enjoy the Freemax mesh DTL but will need to rest it for a while, obviously. It kills my taste buds much more than any MTL. With the same quantity of juice. No hoter vapour. It is just the vapour from DTL is more concentrated I think? And lots of it in one puff.

Anyways, go higher nic, tey to stay off the cigs. Although am not sure cause the pure nic 6mg caused me already anither problem in the past: itching my mouth seriously. That's why I switched it for salted nicotine which is a little less agresive, can add more nic.

    Thanks.
