I vape a lotttt more than I smoked... is this normal? Hopefully I can't be the only one... Any advice would be much appreciated!

LOL...same here! I'm back to vaping after a 2 year break and am trying to finally quit real cigs. I am vaping non-stop. I read elsewhere on this forum that vaping constantly actually helps you switch over from real cigs to vaping. Anyhoo, it's really helped me.....haven't had a real cig since 8 pm last night and haven't missed them yet.

I don't know anything about the V2 kit, but other folks will be along to help you with that. I do know that you'll enjoy e-liquids in the long run. In the short run it can be frustrating because you have to try a bunch of them to find the ones you like....sample kits or a local vape shop with a tasting bar will help you find the ones you like.

V2's are 808 batteries, so there are plenty of options. In fact, V2 sells blank cartomizers and clearomizers, as well as e-liquid. They are also compatible with Smokeless Image and Bloog, as well as a number of others.

Just make sure any cartomizers or clearomizers are labeled 808 or KR808d-1. KR808DM-1 products can work with your model, but not well in my experience.

Check out V2cigs.com to see what else they have to offer.

Good luck.

Making the decision to switch from the pre-filled cartridges to blanks is a logical next step in your vaping experience. Those cartridges are way over-priced and do not last as long as advertised, as you have found out. Do be aware that you need not limit yourself to V2's eliquids. There's literally a whole universe of flavors and vendors available to you.

Check out the two juice forums here for ideas of what e-juice vendors people are using and then look those websites up.

Many online e-juice vendors offer inexpensive sampler packs of there line of flavors, with the intent for you to buy more of the flavors that you like. Beginning with this practice is good for you so that you do not waste money on larger bottles of juice that you may not care for. I'd also encourage you to try different flavors and not limit yourself to tobacco or menthol flavors. You'll be surprised what you will like, and is one of the things that vaping has over the analogs.

And yes, vaping more than you smoked is normal. And healthier. Your body will let you know if you are getting too much nicotine in your system. The same symptoms as another stimulant, caffeine. Jitteryness, nervousness, headache.

Vape as much and as frequent as you like. When you feel the desire for a cigarette, vape even more frequently for a period of time to get more nicotine into your system.

I started out with V2 too. Now I have a Ego Spinner and a standard ego battery for work. The night before I fill 3 cartos and put them in my case and Im good for the next day. And as long as you don't vape them dry and burn them then they can be good for a week or so before they have to be tossed.

Now I can't stand prefilled cartos. I have a couple of unopened packs that I haven't even touched since buying my own e juice. And I have discovered Kanger cartomizers which IMO are really good for ego batteries since they don't require high voltages. They do good on my V2 batteries as well.

Re-filling blank or used cartos is a logical and normal next step. However, the cost effectiveness will be mitigated (lots of big words) some as you search for a suitable juice. Once you find "your" flavor, you should start saving some $$. Also, don't throw away your present cartos, you can probably refill them. Used cartos can also be used to test new flavors. Simply pull out the filling (leave the center tube) and drip in 2-3 drops for testing. You should only do this on a manual battery.

I certainly agree with the tendency to vape more than you smoke. I was a chain smoker. When I was trying to cut down or quit, I would always try to resist that next cigarette. I would put them across the room so that I would at least have to consciously get up and get one. I don't do that with vaping. I just merrily vape along. Because of this, I have found that I had to actually decrease my nicotine levels. I started vaping at 24mg, but had to cut that back to about 14mg.

Been vapin for 18 months. I gave up smokin for health reason but still used to smoke now and again because giving up meant givin up as a habit. Stopping smokin aint the law so figured if i want to smoke i will. Soon got bored of it though. Now i don't smoke at all. Duing all this time i vaped all everyday and still do, so much more than i ever smoked. Now and again i think about buyin some smokes but i just carry on vapin and forget about it. I use a very high nic juice (4.5) and still vape all day. Not sure about the hazzards of that though. Seems ok to me. Wouldn't reccommend it though. So yeah i find myself vaping all day. Rather that than smokin !
