You can do that, heck you could make 10ml in a 30ml bottle if you wanted to. It would allow you to shake it better for that matter. That being said I have some 8ml glass bottles (empty bottles flavors came in from WL) that I use for samples and 30ml cobalt blue bottles for my proven batches. I also have some empty 5-15ml plastic bottles cleaned out from when I use to buy store bought juice. I prefer using glass whenever possible though.

thanks, ive already gone over those as suggested in other threads. this was more of a personal summary to make sure i wasnt missing anything. your pg/vg/nic comment makes sense though. i guess i just thought it would be easier getting the 3 completely separate so you do it all instead of get vg with nic and dilute it with pure vg and then add pg and flavoring.

i will look into those websites though for liquid.

I think you misunderstood the comment. I do get all 3 seperatly. What your misunderstanding is "What determines what carrier you get your NIC in (VG/PG)

If your a high VG vapor for instance 25PG/75VG then you would get your nic in VG (You will still need seperate plain VG/PG for the mix down of the higher mg concentration (60mg, 100mg) VG NIC solution.

If your a higher PG vapor (75PG/25VG) then the opposite would apply you would get a NIC solution in a PG base but you would still need the plain vg/pg for mix down.

I use syringes and squirt the ingredients into the bottle and just mix it (ie shake the bottle). Some people use cylinders though, whatever you feel more comfortable with.

cylinders are just used for measuring larger amounts of liquid and not for actual mixing. Comes in very handy when making big batches. Could you imagine measuring 190mls with a 10ml syringe. By god you'll be at it all day. use a 50ml or 100ml cylinder and its like childs play.

so, looking at bottles. any suggestions?
i was looking at these because theyre clear and like 7ml so i can make smaller batches while testing and starting the diy stuff. are they safe to use in a USC or what is reccomended for that application?

7ml is a nice size for 5ml test samples and it leaves 2ml for adjustments. There also good for use in a UC

The only problem with that is if there only partially full there's a lot of air and if you use them in a UC they may float making them less effective. You also want to leak test the bottles before using them by sinking the empty bottles in water for 24 hours. If water gets inside don't use it.

I use dropper caps in the UC all the time with my 30ml works great and they seal nicely..

Not necessarily, MD_Boater uses a 5ml cylinder for making small batches and was saying he loved it. Said it was graduated down to .1ml iirc. I prefer syringes, the same way you do, but he said it was easier with only a cylinder to clean. I've never personally tried it though.

The problem with cylinders is they are opened at the top with a pour lip and unlike a bottle with a cap make it harder to shake and a bit more messy. Cylinders are ment for measuring and pouring and not really mixing. But if those do prefer I guess you can mix in them.

I agree 100% Danny. Even if I was to use a cylinder I would still have to pour it in a bottle and shake to mix.

What do you mean sink test it? Like weight or tie it down. I'd assume if its full of air, it wouldn't sink on its own. Good to hear this as I've not seen it mentioned before. One of those duh things that I didn't think of.

Heres my $.02...
With 100% vg 24mg nicotine, your going to get 12mg if you mix a 50/50.
All good if you like a lower nic mg and a high vg ratio. I think you will have a lot of left-over if you get 250ml of pure vg..

Tbs, I use 36mg 70/30 pg/vg nic.

What % do you plan to mix?

It depends on the size of the bottle the amount of air the thickness of the glass. You just need to experiment when you get them. You can use water to test the sinking point.

As previously stated, read the blogs, bought the t shirt. I was asking a question to make sure I got it all. You give a lot of good info (inside and outside of your blog) but you gotta stop redirecting to your blog every other post. Sorry if that was blunt, I don't mean for it to be mean or aggressive.

I'm on my phone so forgot to multiquote. Ill be mixing for 6mg mostly. That's what I drip anyways. I'd like a good option to allow for easy mixing for 6, 12, 16 and 24mg because that's what my friends vape and it would be nice to offer them some batches if they aren't too bad.

I was thinking getting about a 60/40 or 70/30 vg/pg. Pretty arbitrary though. My buddy (who ill be experimenting with) said higher vg. I didn't care. Numbers were set ...ish. that's whyi opted for nic in 100% vg. Should I get it with less vg or what is the norm in this case?
