Hey guys, I'm just kind of introducing myself, since I have to gain post count to get into other areas of the forums.

I've tried vaping a couple times in the past, with those prefilled brands (blu, Njoy, and metro) I liked blu flavors decently, but went back to analog smokes after I ran out of cartridges. Njoy and metro both seemed to not be flavorful or smoky enough for me I guess, I couldn't really stick with those.

As for what I'm currently looking for, I want a small-ish e-cig (similiar in size to the 3 I've tried) I've basically narrowed my search down to buying the first 501 or 808 kit (something with 2 batteries, and a pcc is what matters) I know that bigger setups produce better / last longer etc. but I need something to replace the *feel* of an analog smoke. I'm okay with slightly thicker, or longer, just not anything that visibly doesn't look like an analog will throw me off.

The main reason I came to this forum, was to ask around to see if anyone knew where I could buy a pcc like this one I saw. It has plenty of storage for cartos (6 I think) and can charge two batteries, but everywhere I look its out of stock (except china and I prefer USA shipping) I would post a link to the ones I've found out of stock, but not allowed by the forums :(

Feel free to reply with your opinions on what I should try, use, how the 808/501 "analog-sized" will work, or just reply to say hey :) I'm very open to new ideas and opinions, would love some nice store links, advice on best menthol liquid suppliers whatever you have to offer!

Hello and welcome! Good luck on your quest, but please don't dismiss some of the larger than cigarette batteries. The pen style batteries can be fairly small and light, also they are inexpensive so if you find you really don't like them you won't be out much. I only suggest this if your budget allows and you are willing to try other options as I don't want to be one of those posters that tries to steer you away from what you want to what I think you should want....whatever works for you is what's right for you.

First off, Thank you guys for being so quick on reply :)

I'd be open to a larger one in the future, if I continue to vape, and I'm also open to *slightly* larger ones now. I just don't want something like a cigar or anything. I want something portable enough to have a pcc, use in my car, on the road, on nights out etc. Once I find that *perfect* ejuice I may indeed upgrade to a larger tank system for home-use. But right now am looking for a cheap-ish small one I can buy some blank carts and juice samplers for and use on the go until I research into what I really want for the house.

Newb4,

Don't let these guys bully you into buying something bigger than you want. It's ok to only want a smaller e-cig. I quit smoking using a Blu kit and I still use my 510s often. You get fantastic flavor on the smaller kits! The link below has a lot of starter kits for smaller cigs that are very inexpensive. You should find one you would like!

Ty cleo and angel for the tips :)
Was wandering if I bought a 808 kit, would I be able to use the 501 (blu) charger with the 808 to 501 adapter?
Also, if I could use 501 (or 808 with adapter) cartomizers or clearomizers with the blu battery?
I have the blu pcc if I look hard enough (lost somewhere in my closet) along with the batteries, and wouldn't mind "salvaging" the parts I spent 50$ on a long time ago.

This is the type of charging case I was looking for if anyone knows where to get one. If I could get one of these, with two batteries, and a couple carts for 50$ I'd be set :) but everywhere is sold out that I find the pcc

Blu is kinda picky about what works with it, and you can't charge it on anything but the Blu charger or you'll blow them both out. (Batt and charger) They have a reverse polarity from most others.

808d-1 and 510 can be switched out with adapters, I've done both.

Did you try Electronic Cigarette | E-Cigs by Vapor4Life ? They have a 30% off coupon code right now and I think they carry that case (or one similiar) The coupon code is HUMPDAY and the sale ends tomorrow at 11am CDT

This is a shame to hear about blus, does this mean that I would have to buy blu cartomizers to refill? or can I still use standard 510 carts? I did look there :) they have a pcc but it holds only one bat and a couple carts, maybe I'm being too picky though :p I didn't know about the sale though
Go look at Halo, they have a great cigalike
I have a family member who uses halo :) and it is very nice, it is definitely on the maybe list.

So, I just pulled my blus out of the closet, and was surprised to see how old it is xD it says 2009 on the box, and uses a 3 piece (atomizer with punchthrough cartridges) I just plugged up the pcc and batteries to charge, hopefully since they didn't get used long they will be in decent shape :)

Hi and welcome! I smoked 2 packs a day and quit 18 days ago with the help of my vaporizer. When I first tried to quit I bought the blu starter pac. For someone like me, a heavy smoker, I was not satisfied. I did not get enough vapor and was not able to get that "throat hit" like I had gotten with the cigare ttes. I continued to try because I had spent good money on the kit and several replacement cartridges. But I under up giving myself a sore throat trying to get more vapor out of the unit. I thought for me there had to be a better way.I continued to smoke until I went to the smoke shop and asked if there might be something better for me. The man showed me the vaporizer and I was willing to try it and I'm so glad I did. It was exactly what I was looking for! I was able to get plenty of vapor and that throat hit like with cigarettes . Also the juices were half the price of the cartridges and had hundreds of flavors! I was able to quit smoking that day and stay quit. I was quite a heavy smoker and able to do the quitting comfortably by using 24 mg. Of nicotine in my juice. Now if you are able to use the blu type of electronic cigarettes to quit comfortably, then that is wonderful! But just know if you are not satisfied that there is another way that works quite well and they do make smaller type vaporizers that are easy to carry and more discrete. I just want you to know in what ever method you choose you should be able to quit comfotably. I'm not going to push the vaporizer on you but I just wanted to kindly let you know your options. I wish someone had explained my options before I invested into the blu kit I bought for myself. Just know quitting can be done comfortably. What ever method you choose as long as you are satisfied and comfortable you will susceed! I'd like to welcome you to this forum. There are so many wonderful people here all willing to support you. Congratulations on your decision to quit smoking! I know you will be very happy when you quit! If one option isn't working for you, explore other options. We are here for you and want you to susceed. Again welcome

Thanks Realsis, glad to hear you've been smoke freea and glad to see all this support from you guys. :)

I would agree that blu and other compacts don't hit as well as the big ones. I have a family member who uses a g6 halo on the go and a cigar sized vaporizer at home, His vap is pretty awesome just too big for my on-the-go smoking. I'm trying to quit from smoking 15-20 cigs a day ( I smoke Marlboro Menthol Blacks) When I previously tried blu, a few years back, it wasn't as good as smoking in my opinion, but it was enough to keep me happy :) now I'm just trying to find something comparable to it that I can carry on the go, and refill easily with disposable carts and liquid so that I can repeat what I did with blu, and stick with it. No doubt at some point in time I'll probably want a "home-rig" I just figured its best to start with the smaller of the two :) and learn my taste for vape from there

This is what I started with. Smokeless Image Volts. For some, the cig-size battery seems like a necessity. I know that is what I thought. I used these for 6 months before I outgrew them, but they got me off cigarettes. If you start with something small, you will likely move on to larger batteries, but anything to get started and learn.
