I am not sure where to post this, and I am sure that this has been covered time and time again, but I cannot seem to get a direct answer on this, so please, bear with me.

I use a a 510 type ecig made by Modern Vapor, and love it. I am however, still undecided as to which method of vaping works best for me. I initially tried vaping with the standard atty+cart, but still cannot get it to work efficiently for me.

I then moved on to using boge cartomizers, which were extremely convenient, but I never really liked the taste, and they get pretty expensive at the rate that I vape (cleaning and reusing didn't work for me).

I have since moved on to direct dripping, which works great while I am at home or sitting at my desk, but is extremely inconvenient for when I am in the car or out and about on the town, since I can't very well be pulling out my bottle of liquid.

Is there another method that I am missing? Is there a way to get the same results as direct dripping, but in a more convenient fashion?

Again, sorry for the newbie question, and I appreciate any advice that can be provided. :)

One of these ... a Carto tank. $12 at Electronic Cigarettes, E-Liquids & eCig Accessories | Awesome Vapor.

Boge cartomizers are the top of the line for taste for me. I use the tank around the house, but I usually have a Boge carto on my Provari when I go out. It fits better in my pocket and is less fragile. I also take the tank out of the house sometimes. I just make sure I don't sit down with it in a jeans pocket.

You will need to move up to a battery that can provide the current this tank needs. It's a 1.5 ohm dual coil. The eGo Twist battery (about $25) will handle it up to 3.7v and give you great taste and vapor. That would be a good next step for you from the 510 and will accept all your 510 threaded atomizers and cartomizers. You will also be able to vary the voltage from 2.9 to 4.8v. That will let you dial in the voltage for the vape that suits you best.

If you prefer direct dripping check into the Bottom Feeder Mods, there are many out there. I use the Reo Mod, but there are others like the hog mod, boggers box mod, the vmod, just to name a few. There is also the surge tank that will turn a provari into a bottom feeder. If you want to just try out a bottom feeder to see if it will work for you check out the Old Goat mod, a guy here on the forum makes and sells them for $25, it is the cheapest I know of and great for seeing if a bottom feeder is for you.

Similar taste to dripping, convenient and easy to use, affordable. All that = Vivi Nova. I love my Vivi's. I have 2 of them, running the 2.8 ohm heads at 4.7 volts on LavaTube.
Simple, clean taste, long lasting, no mess, no cleaning, heads last WAY longer than carts, and are cheaper to replace.
Give them a try. I think you will like them.

On a cigalike? Give me a break...

Agreed, it would look ridiculous! Even a mini would be pretty terrible looking. I guess for some it's function over beauty though.

To OP I would say it may be worth trying a different brand carto or possibly Boges from a different batch to see if the taste still gets to you. As far as re-using you might just want to try a different method. I shove mine into a syringe with the top cut off and plunge hot water in and out of it a good 30-40 times. Then I boil it in salt water for 10min. I blow it out and load it up right away and it works just fine for me. I was able to switch from a cinnamon flavor to a mellow sweet flavor just last night with no problems.
