Haven't taken the plunge yet. I'm considering replacing smoking with vapeing. Here's my dilemma: I've already weaned myself down to smoking Carltons which have only .1 mg nicotine and 1 mg tar. Anybody got a recommendation for an equivalent e cig?
You could buy two bottles of the same flavor. I bought a 24 mg. it was way too strong for me. I then bought a 0mg and just cut it until it was what I wanted. I settled with a 12mg the third bottle I bought.
That's exactly what I did. I bought two of the same e-juices 1 @ 6% and 1 @ 0%. I was down to 2-3 cigs a day so I thought 3% was what I needed. I was wrong.
I then got some 12% to mix with the 0%. I now know that I should have gone to a higher percentage of nicotine to start with (maybe 12%). When I get a freebie from one of the venders it usually comes in at 12mg or 18mg and it is sooooo good. But I do not want to go backwards and am going to stick to 6% when I order.
This recommendation jives with my own experience: I smoked about half a pack a day. I started vaping at 6-12mg. Anything higher felt too harsh (for me, harshness took the form of my tongue and throat feeling burned). We typically recommend 1 ppd smokers to start out with 18 - 24 mg nicotine in the e-liquid. It doesn't really matter if the cigarettes were full flavor or ultra lights.
Since you have reduced your smoking habits, I'd suggest 6 - 12 mg to start, and go from there. If too much nicotine, cut down to a smaller percentage.
Yep. I have some 12mg juice that was just too harsh for me, but I liked the flavor. I've started cutting it with some 0mg juice in the same flavor. You could buy two bottles of the same flavor. I bought a 24 mg. it was way too strong for me. I then bought a 0mg and just cut it until it was what I wanted. I settled with a 12mg the third bottle I bought.
For someone who smokes so little, I don't recommend the NJoy Kings. The nic level was too high for me. It was my first experience of the feeling "burned."I highly recommend the NJOY Kings as simple intro to vaping from smoking analogs.
