Hi All,

Just wanted to get my feet wet and say hello to everyone on this site. I am a newbie here and am looking to make some connections with those who enjoy vaping as much as I do. I starting vaping roughly 6 weeks ago and have been completely off analogs since then. Yay for me!! BTW, I smoked Marlboro cigs for well over 40 years!! I am currently vaping about 2 ml a day at 8 mg nicotine and have minor cravings but am not giving in. Looking to wean myself completely off the nicotine at some point and would appreciate any comments or help witht this. Thinking of decreasing 2 mg at time but am not quite certain if 2 mg is really going to make a difference in how I react to cravings. Anyway, any suggestions? Also, would like to make some friends. Thanks all!

Welcome! You are doing great. :)
When i started I was vaping 24mg 3ml a day...I'm down to 12mg a day now and don't have a desire to step down yet.

I fell the same way as you that this is the best ting that happened to me. I love to hear stories of people quiting analogs and being enthusiastic about vaping.

Keep it up and vape on :vapor:

I began over a yr ago at 36 mg and am now down to 2 mg. Originally was going to quit vaping in Sept, 2012 but it didn't happen and no big deal. New quit date is around New Years. When I was going to lower levels of nic sometimes I had to occasionally vape a higher nic when the stress warranted it. Also recently purchased a couple of variable volt Spinners and twists cuz I needed help in the TH and lung hit dept- they are helping greatly. Also upped my PG/ VG from 60/ 40 PG/ VG to 80/ 20 PG/ VG cuz PG is a known irritant/ TH enhancer.

Welcome. Stepping down 2mg at a time seems to be a good way to go. A lot of studies have shown that nic absorbation into your bloodstream is far less with vaping than it is with analogs so you probably arent addicted to nicotine as much as you are the habit. At least thats my take on it. Also remember that nic is the least of your worries when talking about the harm that analogs can cause. I think a lot of people use nic levels for more of a throat hit control than anything so if an airy draw is ok with you stepping down shouldnt be an issue.
