newbie to diy

hello i know there are many experienced mixers out there,i've been wanting to try it out,a vendor i use had a diy kit on sale so i bought it to get a start i got it a week ago nowand have yet to try been doin some lookin around for like a guide to use for referance of amounts of ingredients the vendor i got it from had a pdf mixing table for download o.k. got it but now where my question lies it shows the amounts needed for desired nic strength how much nicbase,flavor,diluent(which would be your pg/vg) what i'm trying to figure i want a pg/vg mix not straight of either so how do i figure that mix and what is a good mix like 50/50,70/30?? any info or direction would be a great help to help me from searching for days please

50/50 is a good start for most people without an allergy. Higher PG gives more TH, higher VG gives more cloud of vapor.

i'll give the blog a read thanx danny,dogeggs i got the calculator downloaded,my first scenario set for a 10 ml. size the calc. gave me nic. base of 2ml. pg 0.2 ml. vg 0.2 ml. flavor conc. 0.6 ml. does not seem to add up to 10 ml.????

You probably need to correct your nic base strength...is your nic base in pg or vg...if 100% vg or pg put that in the percentage box and then your nic strength...36-48-60mg ...
