Hi! I purchased an Ego a few months ago in the hopes of giving up analogs. I read the forums and tried the Ego out when I got it, but wasn't ready to try yet. Well the last week I finally did it. Today was my first day relying on the Ego. I have analogs still, but I only had one wake up smoke, then vaped the rest of the day. I'm SO SO SO proud of myself.

Now I'm paranoid that my Ego and spare parts will fail and I'll fall back to analogs. I'm looking for advice on what to buy. I have plenty of juice and some on the way. I originally purchased the "kit", so I essentially have two Ego's and am going back and forth between the 2. I think one of my atomizers has already died, so I now have 2 working atomizers (the set came with 3). Both batteries seem fine, and I have quite a few tips (the mouthpiece - not sure what it's called).

Should I have another battery for backup, another charger, how many more atomizers? I did purchase some "clearomizers" that will be here tomorrow, but from what I'm reading, they don't last long. I like the idea of filling in the morning and not having to refill all day, and don't mind sticking to one flavor for an extended amount of time.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!! :) Thank you!

Edited to add: If you have any tips on where to purchase any suggested items, that would be appreciated as well! I've purchased from gotvapes and route66vapor so far.

Welcome to ECF Alyk! Sounds like you are dedicated and ready to move forward, proud of you and you should be proud of yourself! Well when I first started with my eGo-C, I made sure to have an extra handful of atomizers and tanks. Those are all still working for me and I have yet to have opened up the second pack of attys. You could try some of the mega tanks which hold twice the liquid roughly (a lot of vendors) or the stardust which you can get at gotvapes as well as others. Did not grab an extra bat or charger at first, as the two were enough in rotation, but grabbed a third bat later. I guess depending on how much juice you go through per day would dictate how much you would be filling any of the options..

Welcome Alyk! Your doing so well, and you should be very proud. :) You got a very good kit but if you would like back up I'd say grab an extra charger and and battery or if finances allow a second complete kit and you should be good to go for many months if you don't loose anything. Also you may want to look at Boge 2.0 ohm cartomizers and a few 510 Drip Tips for your vaping pleasure.

I saw goodprophets is having a sale on full eGo kits right now. Their a very good supplier. :)

If you want to fill in the morn and vape all day with no leakage or hassles, I'd recommend the DCT (dual coil tank). I like the 3.5ml myself but you can also get 6ml.

The 3.5 fits nicely on an Ego battery and you can even get a little cone that covers the threads and makes it look nice. The 3.5ml tank gets me through the work day easily. Have to fill it once or twice on weekends though when I'm vaping more.

You've already got the batts and charger covered. So I'd just get 1or 2 tanks and a box of pre-punched tank dual coil cartos and you'd be good to go. Low Res cartos work well on the Ego batts, so I'd get the LR's for the extra vapor and TH.

The LR carto in my DCT is still going strong after 2 weeks,so it's really minimal fuss. I bought the "Resurrectors" at crystalclearvaping.com.

Your Ego batteries are probably the best part of your kit to be honest. For the added security and piece of mind, about the only thing I'd think for power would be get a passthru. This way you'll always have an extra battery around with it's own charging cable and in extreme circumstances can even vape while it's plugged in and charging.

About the only other thing you'd need would be a syringe or 2 for filling. That's the only downside really when it comes DCT's you need a syringe or needle tip that pops onto your juice bottle.

You can get everything I mentioned including the "beauty cones" and needle tips at smoktek.com but you may be able to find some items a little cheaper on other sites.

Oh and no need to buy those silly little Ego atomizer heads! LOL

Hello and welcome to ECF!!! Alot of great ideas already posted I just want to say falling momentarily back isn't a bad thing alot of us have had issues that made up grab an analog again. Your not getting rid of an addiction you are just changing the way it is managed. Whatever causes you to grab an analog is teaching you how to avoid it in the future.

I am also in the process of getting an ego-c from some guys that are starting a e-cig business. I'm supporting them 100% because I believe in the product. They are great guys too! I'm looking forward to the experience. Oh, I guess this would be a good place to plug their name MistFusion.com. Their site isn't up yet but I am told it will be in the next couple of weeks!

I have heard allot of great things about the EGO's and like the idea of being able to replace the atomizers. I'm being told they are pretty inexpensive, which totally rocks!!!

I have seen several brands for the ego-c's Are they all pretty much the same? Obviously quality would be a variable, but I mean as far as atomizers, batteries, etc...?

Ok, after all of this advice I was overwhelmed, lol, so I still haven't gotten anything!

I'm thinking maybe the easiest thing for me to do is just get a full new kit for replacement parts, and I'm looking at the Ego-C kit. A few quick questions to be certain - is $49.99 a good price? Also, are all of the Ego-C parts interchangeable with the regular Ego? Does this sound like a good plan?

Yes, Ego-C batteries and chargers are the same as regular ego's. The cartridges and atomizers are different though, but those die out sooner anyway. I have a couple of Joyetech Ego batteries that are well over a year old but they are supposed to last at least 6 months.

Either order a second kit, or just a couple extra batteries. You can rotate them on the charger. I personally have 3 chargers but normally only have one on the charger at any given time.

I don't order kits any more because I use Vision Ego Clearomizers almost exclusively. I just get batteries and clearomizers, and have chargers already. I like them more than tanks because I rotate lots of flavors and typically have 8-10 clearomizers filled with different flavors at any given time. I tried my first clearomizer about a month and a half ago, and none of mine have died yet, but I do rotate them often so I don't know how long they would last if I used one exclusively...but I have been happy with their lifespan so far.

i would have an extra battery or two and at least 2 backup atomizers, as they can be finicky sometimes. like some others said, it truly is easier to use a clearomizer and imo, it tastes better as well. another option is a DCT tank or some other tank like that, they work good as well but are sometimes a pain if the hole in the cartomizer isn't doing its job or if the juice is too thick, or if you flood it, etc etc. glad you are making the change to vaping and i hope it works out for you. and welcome to the forums, lots of great people and info here.

Ok, so it sounds like I would be better off to just get a few more clearomizers (maybe I should wait until mine come - I think the ones I got are called stardust?) and see how I like them, then order more plus an extra charger and a few more batteries. Are there batteries you can get separately that have the special button that you can press 5 times to "lock" it?

Again, thanks for all of the help. I'm loving this forum and I'm excited that after this post I can start posting on other parts of the forum! Yay! :)
