I have your basic ego/kanger evod tank and I am good. I was in the B&M store today, and there was a lady looking at a mod, and the lady working there was telling her how she would need a drill press to drill some sort of hole or other, and I told her - You know, when you have to start bringing out drill presses, thats really too much - what wrong with the old eGO/tank combo?

I'm not a noob, been doing this for almost a year, and while I do have several setups including one high-end mod, I still prefer my iTaste VV V3 and Evod and Aro BCC's. I have a dripper, and have just started re-wicking but not building coils, and I'm not sure I'm that interested. I have NO interest in DIY juice, either.

There's a ton of stuff out there, and while I'm not overwhelmed, I'm perfectly happy with my easy set ups. It's about the enjoyment of vaping, and if you get more out of it by learning DIY or rebuilding, more power to you. Vaping can be as simple or as complicated as you want it to be. The only thing that matters is that you enjoy it!

Great way to put it Alisa, get started, then do what feels comfortable/fun. Im a tinkerer so I really expect to try DIY soon. (Especially if I get more folks around me switched over from analogs...) But for now, a simple setup and taste-testing different juices is "fun" so will remain at this stage for a bit.

A little overwhelmed but not too bad. I know enough about electrical to understand most of what going on but still get lost here and there. I'm prepping now to start rebuilding my own coils and still have no clue what gauge wire to get and how many wraps I need to do for my protank so I'm just gonna order some 30 gauge and run with it. If it doesn't work then I'll buy something else and try again.

To all the newbies out there please don't be overwhelmed by all this info here. I been cig free for 4 months and this is my setup ego twist with a kanger protank mini. Granted I have 2. They have worked flawlessly with just some basic coil maintenance and good juice And i am very happy. Just to let you know u can get off really cheap and vape like a pro...In have those tanks filled with Hawksauce and Grape both from Mount Baker Vapor and got the Protank minis and ego's off ebay. Dont see any reason to upgrade at this time...

After switching from analogs it's become a hobby :)

Was in the gas station today paying for gas & watched 2 people at the counter buying cigarettes & am glad i'm no longer a slave to that routine.

How you like your protank mini's ? It's my favorite tank so far & how do you like mt. baker's juice ?

I'm on oldie. Been vaping going on five years. If I had walked into these forums as a newbie at this point in time, it would be mind boggling. I'm still old school and never updated from the 510's, except to increase the size of the battery. Go figure. My original gear still is working for me, so you don't need all the newest and latest.........unless someday I get tempted to go rogue. :D

VV3 and a mini protank got me taken care of.

That said I wouldn't trade what Ive learned in the last month for anything. I literally walked right into rolling my own, and I'm glad I did. This place has been absolutely pivotal in learning a LOT in a very short span of time. Different strokes I guess.

If all I had was the vv3 and the mini PT2 would I be smoking? Probably not.

Do I like all the other stuff better?

Damn skippy!

Very, very overwhelmed at times. I've been vaping for a month, and have taken to it like a fish in water. My fiancé took me to local vapor store and we picked out a starter kit with an EVOD 1000mah and a Kanger mini Protank-2. I love it, don't get me wrong, but I obviously need something more. I've been looking into dripping, cartomizers, and am eyeing a Provari mini. The options are staggering.

Those new roads at the time were toughies. Didn't know aboot clones, but I learned... the hard way. I think I ordered about 5 of them before it even occurred to me that I was being taken advantage of. I went through some changes with many headaches, some horrendous tasting trials, and several nasty blows to my savings account. Finally ended up with my personal preference: The Kanger Protank 1*, eGo-C Twist batteries, and 70pg/30vg e-liquids.

I wouldn't have minded arriving at this setup much sooner, but I believe it wouldn't have mattered at the time... since it was still a new thing, and I'd get all starry-eyed at the huge amounts of other devices out there which would result in more needlessly ...... away expenses anyway. I guess we all have some instinctive tendencies to go for what appears to be the "bigger, better, and shinier!!!" choices.

*However at this time, I'm currently waiting for some Protank 2s to arrive, as the cleaning methods will be much easier with the detachable pyrex glass tanks and all. I also decided to order some airflow controllers, better to be safe and more sure I says.

Weirdly enough it's not the whole vape scene that's overwhelming been a part of it for a while now but christ this forum is intimidating xD the sheer amount of sub forums is a bit... wow. That is all.
Using an iTaste VV Battery (This one) with the iClear30s just for the moment, if my money comes in a little later i'm going to be taking home a Telescopic ZMax from Smoktech :)

I also own a bunch of eGo-C Cyclone batteries, just regular 650mah ones, also got an eGo Twist battery which i still absolutely love, got this iTaste VV too :)
And for atomisers/clearomisers i've got 2x CE4s, used to have an iClear16 which i adored but cracked it, d'oh. also got a Kanger T3S, Smok RBC, iClear30 and now the iClear30s

i got started vaping in july and the only source of info i had was my local shop, 30 minutes away. since then i have gone from 5 ego-t batteries with evods to an ego-c twist with protank 2 to my vamo v3 and 3 protank 3's. i have some 32 gauge kanthal on the way and cause wait to try my hand and recoiling. not sure where my next step will be but whatever it is it needs to work on my vamo.

I started about 3 weeks ago with a mechanical and a Kayfun Lite. They showed up with no assembly instructions - I wasn't even sure which way to insert the battery. Thank god for YouTube.

I'm using mine like a cigar, since I still haven't managed to produce a vapor I can actually inhale yet - just joined the forum hoping for help with that.

All in all a positive move though - no cigarettes or nicotine lozenges since my initial purchase.
