We have ordered a few flavors from TPA and are about to embark on our first attempts at DIY. We are in need of some advice from those much more experienced than us...

Our best friend (who is a chemist) and I went up to his lab and mixed 200ml of a nicotine base 40/60 (PG/VG) at approximately 24mg/ml strength. Our target nicotine level is 16-20 mg.

The favors we have are: Green Apple, Strawberry, Kiwi (double), Cinnamon Sugar Cookie, Red Bull & Blueberry (extra). The following are the juices we would like to create:

1. Green Apple
2. Strawberry-Kiwi
3. Cinnamon Sugar Cookie
4. Sweet Tart

We already have a recipe for Sweet Tart but we would love to have some help with the others. We are assuming they will be very simple recipes but have had little luck finding the %'s to use with these favors. We apologize if these are posted somewhere already and for our lack of success of finding them. Please excuse our newbie-ness!

I forgot to mention that we also have a supply of sucralose if needed. Thanks so much for your time and help.

Wow! Thanks so much for that list. I do have a question....

Let's say I am going to make 10 ml of green apple. The list states Green Apple 12%. Does that mean I use 1.2 ml of the flavor & 8.8 ml of the premixed nicotine base that we mixed up today?

Also... Strawberry Kiwi 20% 1/5 what is the 1/5?

Thanks again!

Yes.

It's a rating that somebody (not me) gave the flavor. I haven't tried Strawberry Kiwi, so I can't give you any feedback on it. Whoever rated it was apparently a tad underwhelmed. Taste is subjective, though. You may end up loving it.

My pleasure. Keep us posted on how everything turns out.

I read this somewhere and forget who's to credit for this amazing piece of sage wisdom: Creating a great e-liquid is an art. Replicating it is a science.

In other words, write down everything that went into a mixture and write down tasting notes. Creating an awful e-liquid isn't nearly as frustrating as creating something sublime and not being able to recreate it.

The Kiwi Double is not on the list @FaceMeat provided ... I believe it is a new flavor.

I do have Kiwi Double and have mixed it with Strawberry Cream , and Honey. (All from TFA)

I started off with 5% of each, 0 Nic, 60%VG.

It really wasn't all that bad, but definitely the Kiwi Double is a powerful concentrate and it dominated everybody in this recipe. I diluted the juice such that the Kiwi-D is reduced down to 2.5%, while maintaining 5% each from the other 2 ingredients. I haven't tried it yet as I've been busy with other juices, but later today will be a good time.

I will obviously expect the Kiwi-D to be toned down and the Strawberry and Honey to be more present. I'll report back.

PS -- The Kiwi-D was so strong that I could not remove the taste of Kiwi from the tank I used, even after I had soaked it for several hours in hot water. I also soaked in Isopropyl Alcohol and washed it, but the taste and smell Kiwi was still evident. I eventually left it soaking overnight, and that cured took most of it away. It still lingered for there for another day, but it's completely gone now.

I like to use a little hydrogen peroxide to clean with. It works really well to freshen things up, but I've never tried it on anything really stubborn, like what you're describing.

I'm glad I read this thread. I never thought that Kiwi would be a sticky flavor. It seems like a light one...

Not feeling so bad about it sitting in the back rows of my flavoring bottles now. Pulled it out Sunday and wondered why I hadn't done anything with it yet and set it on the table. Made some juice for my family and a bunch of experiments and was putting everything back and realized I still forgot the Kiwi. Now if I find any experiment that turns out great, I'll completely forget about Kiwi yet again...

All very good info. Thanks very much. The recipe I found said to mix the flavors 60% Kiwi and 40% Strawberry. With your info, I am really rethinking that ratio. Hmmmm...what to do? Maybe 30% kiwi 70% Strawberry. Keep in mind it is a 15-20% ratio of flavor s added to 80-85% base.

Thanks again for that info!

You're welcome - note that I used the Kiwi-Double flavor, and not the regular-strength Kiwi, and that's why it came out so strong.
