Anyway just dropped by here to contribute some advice and personal experiences that will hopefully help new users.

The first PV i bought and owned was the SmokerHaven e-cig with PCC from Johor. Very pricy and very full of sh-it The sales girl claimed that one cartomizer will last you 200 puffs till there is no smoke i.e. roughly equivalent to one pack of analogs. This is of course, 100% bull..... What i experienced was that the first 50 draws or so there was very little vapour produced with the taste being decent-ish. Subesquently the vapour improves substantially but you get a 'burning filter' taste which i now realize is the taste of the filler burning inside the cartomizer, meaning that it is time for a cartomizer change (as they are not refillable)

The overall vaping experience with these was extremely poor and unsatisfying. It ended up only being used when places where smoking is not allowed i.e. in the office toilet

Was about to give up the whole idea of quitting smoking and switching to vaping instead when i came across this forum.

After doing quite alot of research, i purchased a Janty JETS XL set which was satisfying enough to help me quit smoking analogs completely. I occasionally still take a puff or two from my friend's to remind myself how bad analogs taste though :D

About battery capacity:
I do not believe in measurement in hours as the amount of liquid vaped per hour can vary drastically from person to person. My Janty Ego XL batt (900mah i think) can manage roughly 3-4 ml of liquid on a LR JETS atty before needing to be recharged. This is sufficient to last me close to 2 days of vaping. If i am not mistaken, most vapers consume about 1.5-3 ml of liquid a day so a XL battery is almost guaranteed to last most people the whole day.

my 1st was 510 from health cabin after doing much research and readup.. that was Jan 2009, where you dont get so much improvements in e cig.. 510 was considered one of the better ones.. used it , and soon hated it for the short battery life span (to the point it need recharge every 2-3hrs)..

bought GGTS soon after and has been using it since!

Now my GGTS is on its way back to greece for some minor servicing (collection tank cant take apart, but doesnt affect normal use) .. gonna miss it..

Using Ego Battery with torpedo tank now hehe

Hi, I am new here and would like to know more information about vaping. Has this intention after watching one movie which I forgot what the title is and saw the actor vaping. Was intending to get for my younger bro who is currently using analogue, 1 pkt per day. was worried about his health and his BMI I believe is not quite good too. So was thinking on knowing more information on vaping that can to help him quit vaping. I would say he is quite a heavy smoker. Can veteran please advise how can I get a set for him as I know is is illegal in Singapore and what is a suitable set to fit him and slowly let him go down on the dosage.

Read through the thread slowly and you'll find many answers to your questions. There's many ways to get a set but there's no comfirm i won't be seize by customs. For the quitting analogs part, i believe once u start vaping, there's no need for you to go back to analogs. Goodluck and feel free to post questions if you really can't find answers to it.

I believe that movie is "the tourist - Johnny Depp". Getting a "PV" has always been difficult for us here. There's no confirm way of really receiving it. But vaping did helped a lot of us here quit smoking analogs. But it's also not 100%. I have a few friends who tried converting to vaping but in the end went back to smoking analogs. It depends from person to person. Most vapers I know that was able to convert 100% fully to vaping (including myself) really had the will and desire to quit analogs. Mostly the reason has something to do with health issues. Those friends that I know that went back to analogs, their reason for trying to convert was to save money, hide cigarette smell from gf, etc. So unless you don't have the desire and mindset to really quit smoking, chances converting to vaping might be lower. But of course it's not absolute for everyone. Still can try. And it's worth it if it's successful. So good luck trying to convert your bro to vaping. We are here to support and answer your qns about vaping

thanks Flamethrower bro, I know that there is 2 different type of ego-T, but is there any website I can view the products? Would like to know how you all normally go about getting one. knowing that the nicotine level for Singapore cigarette is 6mg, is it wiser to get something higher say 11 / 16 mg since some says the voltage or the PV will not give the full effect of the hit.
