I'm looking forward to getting my first PV, after I post enough times so I can get the nic juice supplier list for Canada.
Damm Health Canada for making my change from smoking so difficult....

Just don't give up! vaping is so worth every frustration. Me and a friend of mine both started this at the same time. We had both been smokers for over 20 years. We both quit thanks to vaping. We both are amazed at just how easy it was to quit - and how much better we feel!

I'll bet you enjoyed that extra grand! My $440 might seem like a lot for one month of vaping, but I have enough stuff here to last me for well over a year. The savings will come. The funny thing is that when I look at my speadsheet I wish that I had smoked more (I only smoked 7 analogs a day) so that my savings would look bigger!

I cant say that i was happy smoking that many analogs a day for my numbers to increase on my banner lol that just shows me how much i've spent towards an earlier death... lol i did spend most of the 500-600 within the first month or 2. Most of the expenses were because of upgrading PV's. Now the money being spent are for juice now and nothing else because i have atty's, cartos, carto tanks, RBA's, and RBTA's with 200 yards of wick and enough coil for a good while.

I am grateful for every member that did answer my stupid questions and do so with a kindness that anyone that has used forums for a bit know is hard to come by. If it wasn't for them I would have probably gone back to smokes. For the past eight months I have been on this forum reading every spare moment from the time I wake at 8am to the time my eyes hurt and my brain is swirling with more ideas around 2 to 3 am.....Go wild with the search feature of this site. It's amazing the amount of stupid questions I have typed in that thing and come out with exactly what I was looking for lol. Just my :2c: :D

I'm nowhere near ready to venture into making anything myself or tinkering more than necessary, but maybe someday. I started vaping mid-December and I think I've probably spent about the same amount of time reading, searching, reading some more, and watching videos to figure things out. When that didn't help enough or make sense at the time, I just jumped in because sometimes (ok, usually) I learn best by doing instead of observing. So far, so good. I'm veturing through juice suppliers and clearos, and happily vaping away on my new Twists and the V2 cig-alikes I started with. Even factoring in additional juice and other supplies, I'll probably still break even by mid-late April.

Before I even purchased my first PV I spent a solid 200 hours researching. While my PV was in transit prolly spent another 200 hours researching. When it arrived I was up and running within minutes. 3 weeks later I was DIY juice. That first PV I bought...17 months later, except for replacing 1 part, and it still fires like a beast. It's because of research I really never had any issues with any of my vaping equipment or juices.

I've spent a few hundred $ in the 90-100 days that I've been vaping. I didn't know about all the mods and options and stuff. I'm also currently unemployed which makes the money that much more valuable. But the quitting smoking is INvaluable. I'm looking forward to starting work again so that I can perhaps have a decent collection of vaping supplies and maybe start making mods and stuff. It's as good an investment as anything else, right?

Right now I am vaping on an ego twist with a vivi nova tank. I am vaping my own juice, through my own rebuilt atomizer head. I'm using a cotton wick, a Kanthal coil, and I have made a few minor modifications to the vivi tank that have eliminated every problem that i had with it. I am getting great flavor, and huge clouds of vapor.

50 days ago, I didn't even know what vaping was.

I'm not a genius, or incredibly mechanically inclined. I am not wealthy - I have spent less than $440 on vaping so far. But I am determined, and willing to work at things.

95% of what I learned in order to do this was found on these forums. And I didn't even have to start new topics asking for help.

I used the search.

And I read, and read and read. I have spent over 100 hours reading these forums over the last 50 days.

The answers are already out there, if you are willing to put in the time.

Don't give up. Don't settle for less than an excellent vaping experience.

That is my :2c: to all you newbies feeling overwhelmed by the wide world of vaping.

I'm a newbie too. But thanks to these forums, I'm one happy newb.

:)

Very true! I would have spent a lot less if I hadn't invested around $50 in those annoying ego-t tanks. And I should have mentioned that I have enough supplies to rebuild attys for over 2 years, and make over half a gallon of juice. :)

That is some mighty fine cost averaging. A lot of people who have spent that kind of cash have 3 weeks worth of stock on hand, not a couple of years worth.

Hi everyone! Newbie here! I just started on V2 three days ago and wish I had done more research...I now have two ego twists and 5 Iclears on the way! I'm so excited to start this vaping adventure! :)

You will appreciate those Twists coming from the V2. I can't comment on the Iclears though.
