hello, i am very new to this. i found out about ecigs a few days ago and i have a few questions

do they make you cough like reg cigs?
do they leave bad breath like regs?
do they burn your mouth like regs?

if anyone can help i would really appciate it, thank you:)

Welcome! I've been vaping for 21 days now and my daily cough is gone. My analog (cigarette) breath is gone and my mouth only burns if I get a little e-liquid on my lips or in my mouth. My clothes don't smell like cigarettes, my car no longer stinks when I open the door, my craft/computer room smells better. I am loving this!

awsome, thank you so much. I am going to get the Blucig, i am really exited about it! I feel like a kid in a candy store lol! i know that nicotine itself can be bad for you, but is there any other bad things about ecigs? like weird after tastes or anything?

They take a little maintenance. I clean out my atomizers every night with canned air. You have to charge the batteries, but that's about all. I don't have a bad taste in mouth, haven't heard anyone else say they did. I just can't say enough good about them! After over 40 years of smoking over 2 packs a day and trying every method there is of quitting, for the first time I've not picked up an analog in 21 days!

Hi Barb,
I'm kind of new myself. I've been vaping for one week. It sounds like you really need to quit. Just wanted to say..I was smoking for 30 years, and up to 33 cigs a day. I have not wanted an analog cig since I started vaping. Some say to start with medium or low cartridges or juice, but I started with high. It's working out, that's all I care about. I am going to mix my own juice because I got a lot of the "high", and I want to "cut" it so it's lower in nic, and eventually go lower and lower.
I would watch the video's and learn as much as you can.
Good luck to you
LouAnn

I would guess that the tobacco companies are afraid of losing money - and let's face it, the e-cig is a major threat to them. And I'm sure they have influence in government, so I'm guessing that's why some people are trying to ban them. Stupid really, as they're so much healthier than regular cigs. I absolutely love my DSE-901. I'm hoping to be able to quit the regular cigs soon.

Hi all,

I'm so happy to have found this great resource!

Analogs and me have been a partnership for 15 years. I've smoked my way across three continents, in and out of a dozen jobs, all through my dating years and into my marriage.

Now my sinuses are wonky, I have shortness of breath, I was diagnosed two years ago with panic disorder, and I've developed IBS -- and I know that analogs are making it all worse, if not actually causing it.

I hate lying awake at night and wondering if I've got emphysema.

I hate that my husband was able to quit cold turkey without looking back, and I can't quit at all.

The fact is, I don't want to quit, because I LOVE SMOKING!

I discovered e-cigarettes through some random internet reference. I've been reading through this forum for a few days now, and my conclusion is: where have e-cigs been all my life? :D

So that's me. I'm happy to meet you all, and totally excited to try this! It sounds like a "901" may be the best e-cig for a newbie who still wants her e-cig to look like a cigarette. Any alternate suggestions, pointers, references?

How many posts to I have to make before I can start a new thread to ask a question in the appropiate forum if I don't see a thread already running on my topic of intrest? I hate to make random posts (like this one) just to get my numbers up enough to post a question in the proper forum.

Gumpster I believe you have to make 15 posts before you can start a thread. Shouldn't be hard! There are numerous topics you can read and join in on. Most of us who are new have so many questions!!

When I first heard of E Cigs I had to find out what it was. I have smoked for at least 7 to 8 years and hate it. My wife and I had quit on Chantix for about three months before we took it back up after our daughter started having fever seizures. I hated starting back, they way it made me feel and how they tasted. I purchased an NJOY NPRO at a local tobacco shop just over a month ago. I got to where I was smoking less analogs and using the NPRO more. I could immediately tell a difference in my breathing and the lack of lung cookies and hacking in the morning. Since then I have recieved the sampler pack from JC and am still making my way through the many flavors to find one I like. I wanted more of a hit and a longer lasting batt so I ordered a BE 112 and love it. Heavy vapors and a good hit. Now I have to figure a way to regulate and lower the amount of nicotine I am ingesting. I have had a lot of people ask me about my NPRO and a few today have inquired about my 112. I am mobilizing again to go to Iraq for a second round and have been telling my guys how great these things are. I am hoping that my flight I will be on will allow me to vape while flying over the pond. Anywho, this is a great site and very informative.:thumb:

I first started using Ecigs with a DSE901. Furst it worked so well didnt touch a smoke for 3 days but.....on the third day and every third day I felt the urge to smoke. Than I got a Dura C by Janty. The manual switch battery kind. It has a wonderful smokey effect, throat hit and the whole shooting match. My advice to you if you want to quit analogs all the way, is to get another kind of ecig that has a manual switch battery. It makes all the difference in the world..Just thught I would give you my opinion.

I started with a 901 too. You need a manual switch battery type ecig if you want to be able to lean on it hard to replace analogs. It is my advice, and I too started with a 901. Great at first, but it is a hit or miss ecig. MANUAL BATTERY SWITCH IS THE KEY TO SATISFACTION

Hello everyone!
so glad i found this forum i've been reading in the background for quite some time now, without posting anything. i've learned a lot about vaping, like e liquid, what pg and vg mean, and the different models available. i still only have one ecig, which I really don't like, as it never gives me enough vapour. it just gives me a very little amount of vapour, but i got to know that maybe it's because it's very small. its a nucig 84mm. I've ordered a titan now, as people seem to like it a lot. hope it's good! if anyone has any tips on how i can get more vapour from an 84mm please tell me as shipping to my country takes a long time and i might fall back to analogs for the hit! :( P.S. i've been without cigarettes for a week. not that long i know but it's always a start.

anyway thanks for the wealth of info you provide here!

I understand that the system here is to post some (hopefully not totally meaningless) entries to prove I'm not a spambot. I've been a moderator on another forum where we (the moderators) had the ability to delete a spam post and ban the poster from future entries if the offense deemed it necessary.

It is somewhat frustrating to want to jump into some of the good discussions here and not be able to do so.

I would like to clear up some confusion I have after reading through the thread on good and bad suppliers. I noticed e-cig.com received several unfavorable responses. Is this the same as Truman Ecig of Ecig World? If not, can anyone give me any feedback on the latter?

I don't know if it's the same but I just received my first order from them. They shipped in a very timely manner and their email for tracking was more than adequate. So if you're asking if Truman is a company to stay away from, well, that's just my input.

Thanks for the quick response, SharonLM. I was concerned because I placed an order with them about 5 days ago (just prior to finding this site) and I have no experience with ordering direct from China. I'll just sit tight for a while longer and keep my fingers crossed. That's far better than keeping my eyes crossed. :D
