$140 per ml - it's significantly yellow for "new stock", has an "odor" and no production date?
And wash my dishes for me.Yowza! That’s a steep price for sure. That stuff better last a few hundred years at room temperature with that price [emoji23]
I haven’t been on ecf much lately but do you know if many others are posting similar experiences with supposedly fresh nic? Or am I just incredibly unlucky these past 6 months?
Is Heartland out of stock of their house nic? I got some recently, and it is really good, and best price I've seen. After smelling, I did test it unflavored, and it's great. Around $40/liter, IIRC. Posted this in the Are you done stocking up thread a couple of weeks ago. Here’s the AmeriNic. Definitely not crystal clear but I’ve seen worse. Has a very slight odor. I think my standards are lower with my recent purchases that were exceptionally bad (i.e. really dark and foul smelling)! A year ago I wouldn’t have had the same opinion, lol!

I don't know the answer to that question. But I do know that some people pay prices for nic such that you'd think it's already being taxed! lol
I paid less than $40 on sale per liter for HeartlandVapes house brand nic base and it comes with a label that shows batch # and manufactured date (mo/yr).
I have not opened any of it yet. I have not gotten into DIY yet, just hoarding right now. The first batch I bought sat in my cold garage for a week, then I put it in a freezer. I plan on transferring it into glass bottles but I can;t do it right now. When I do, I plan on posting pics of what the nic in each liter looks like.
I have no idea how clear it is or if it has an odor. But I only paid <$40/L for it and many have high opinions of it. Som epeople say, "yeah, but it ain't as good as so-and-so" nic brand. Fine, but the fact is I never vaped high-end juices so I never vaped high-end nic. So whatever it is, it is. I'm probably used to whatever quality it is.
That picture I posted above with the Heartlandvapes ready-made bulk eliquid. It hasn't changed color yet sitting at room temp out in the open where it gets light. The RY4 is the same color as your nic (maybe slightly darker) and the peppermint is still as clear as crystal. However, they claim they make their eliquid from the CNT Nic brand that they also sell. I have no idea. It's a new claim so they may have switched. It could be they are planning on not selling their house brand in the near future because of coming regulations. I dunno, just guessing.
That’s one company I haven’t purchased from, Heartland. I guess I should give them a try. I never really thought about nic in terms of high and low end; I just thought some companies charged more than others! My ignorance I guess! [emoji4]
Let it come to room temp before opening. I do not have personal experience with this yet however I have heard that it will suck in moisture from the ambient air if it is colder than the ambient air or something like that. Whether that's the reason or not I have heard that you absolutely need to let it return to room temperature before you decant it againHey to all my fellow freezer friends, I have a question. I have a liter of 50/50 in my freezer and need some of it. Can I take it out and pour it immediately into another bottle after a vigorous shake of course? I ask because the vigorous shake won’t do much because it’s filled to the rim and thought the thicker VG may lag as I pour causing me to take more nicotine and PG into my bottle. This may be a ridiculous question I just wanted to ask because my knowledge of fluid dynamics is all based on what I observed as a child playing in my bath and I know the jets in a pool and jacuzzi are nice. Oh and I’ve observed and experienced rip tides while at the beach at Lake Michigan which is the only useable information I’ve gained. Seriously though will it pour out even or do I need to bring it up closer to room temperature before I make my transfer?
So that begs the question, if you never thought of nic having different quality levels, then why did you buy $140/l nic?
Heartland is done with it's sales for now, probably. They were selling their nic for $10 off per liter in 3 or 4 different holiday sales. That's how I got my nic for less than $40/L. At 4 liters, you get a discount. So that totaled $33/liter after the $10 off per liter. Free ship.
It's still a good deal at $45/L. If you buy 4 or more Liters you get them for $43/L. Then you can use coupon code vapemag for an additional 5% off. That's a one-time use coupon per account so you want to use that when you are making the biggest order you think you'll make. Also you can't use it when they have a special going on. Well you can, but you lose the special price which is usually more than 5% off.
So if you buy 4 or more liters in one shot, with the vapemag coupon, that comes to $40.85/liter. Not as good as $33, but not a bad price.
I never did use the vapemag coupon because I only ever buy from them when they have sales. But If I get some extra cash before it becomes illegal or impossible to buy it, I will buy another round. That would put me in the "I have way too much nic for one person" category, lol.
I bought from WL because I was just trying to find some clear nic. I was almost desperate to get some colorless like I’m always seeing posted. Since my multitude of bad experiences this year, I want more nic than I need because I don’t trust everything that’s in my freezer. I didn’t really care about the price at the time (within reason) because I’ve heard good things about them. Also, I didn’t buy a whole liter because I wanted to be sure it was good stuff before buying more (which I won’t at least for now from WL).
Thanks for the coupon code!
I can't think of any reason why it would last longer than any other nic under the same storage conditions.Yowza! That’s a steep price for sure. That stuff better last a few hundred years at room temperature with that price [emoji23]
I'm sorry you are having such trouble ChelsB !!
I have bought WL nic for years and it's crystal clear.
Yeah, that’s discouraging. I bought mine from NR (now called River Supply). 2-1/2 gallons. No problems. There were a couple people who did receive darker solution but NR replaced them no questions asked. At least this appears to be an anomaly with WL but I’m sure feeling unlucky with nic purchases lately.

You’ve convinced me you’re cursed.I was one of those that received some pretty bad nic. They replaced it but it was still no good. I then received a refund with no problems
I’m assuming it’s new, I ordered it less than a week ago, but perhaps it’s older as it was on sale. It has an expiration date of Dec 2020 (I’m not seeing a manufacture or packaging date). It’s crazy how it’s been virtually impossible for me to procure any clear nic . I never get anything like the pic you posted in that wine glass seems like everyone else has better luck than I!
