This gives a more constant regulated flow of juice.

Don't get me wrong BJ, I think that expressing ideas is a great thing and it's how we learn and discover new things....but,

Why would you wanna restrict juice flow to the ceramic wick inside of the tank using a nifoam straw?

Wouldn't it be better having the juice in direct contact with the ceramic?

Not all the wick is in contact on a half empty tank. Keeping a constant pressure of fluid on the wick eliminates having to keep the wick pointing toward your chest when tilting to vape. No restriction, wet foam is wetter than dry air.

In Todds video he did compress the 1.6mm that me rolled to get it to fit his wick hole.

Yeah I seen that, and he also says it wicks like crazy and no need for the American beer guzzle tilt (silly Irish ;)).

But I wonder if like you suggested, that it was acting like the bonut and just giving a nice reservoir that would run over if tilted to much/frequently.....hmm idk???

None of this solves the ceramic lag and built up heat issues :D

I was really hoping that this would be compressible like gdeal said to where it would out wick the ceramic :(

My best setup, no lag. Small piece white wick, 1.5 ohm 30g kanthal, 2mm hemp wrapped around ends. True 5v under load.

Would using this foam as a wick be safer if it were wrapped in a ekowool sleeve or a sheet of ss wick? It works great alone IMO. But I don't wanna poison myself.

Safer?

Probably....but there's no real way to know for sure.

Best example is by comparing it's use to that of a standard atomizer, but the difference there is that the nickel foam is nowhere near the coil.

The foam is wrapped around the ceramic cup and the metal bridge:

Has anyone shown that ekowool or SS is safe? Probably most of the flavors we are now almost burning with the high temps are probably doing a lot more harm than people think. IMO it is all safer than analogs, but if you want safe, don't vape.:vapor:

I agree with BJ that the white ceramic is so far the best tasting and wicking material I've found to date. I don't experience a lag or at least don't notice a lag. I've been using it side by side with a fishwick and a SS mesh setups for about 2 months or more and it out performs both of them. And I have yet to actually recoil or clean the white ceramic - I simply dry burn it after a couple of tanks and it is good to go.
And of the numerous times I dropped the PV or knocked it over, I have not broken it [holds his breath and wishes he hadn't said it] .

Ok, where's the best place to get this white stuff and can you get it in different diameters? I want to try it. :)
