I can't like either of these posts, IMHO they have just ruined this forum completely, it's a sad day for the Nickoticket family. :( I guess I'll go lurk now since any further posts are likely to cause trouble.

Noooo Claudia! Don't go lurk mode on us! Pwetty Pwetty pwease... :-(

My husband never saw combat, BUT he completely deserved everything he got. He was 101st airborne and part of the first true paramedic unit, he was scheduled to go to Nam the next day but first they had to do a parade jump for the big brass. Only problem was that the wind was blowing way to hard to jump safely, but they were ordered to jump anyway because you can't disappoint the big brass from DC, so they jumped. over 100 soldiers were either injured or killed that day when the wind caused their chutes to streamer and wrap around them making reserve chutes useless.

Those who were not part of the parade jump were shipped out the next day as planned to jump into the middle of battles to tend the wounded, none of them returned home alive. He always felt guilty for being alive even though he spent the rest of his live in a wheelchair, until cancer took him one week before his 49th birthday. He was 19 at the time of his injury and spent that entire year in the hospital.

He never saw battle but I think he more than earned his service connected status.

Oh my Claudia. Oh my. Your husband - hero.

Clark really sorry for causing problems in here, wasn't my intent at all, have enough on my plate already, so back to lurking :)

Sorry, can't/won't like this. I think you and the rest of us need to learn the new rules. If we cannot post links, then we cannot post links. I had no idea about that rule. Please, stick around. Now is not the time to be without friends and support...all that you can find!

Interesting. I can't see why ECF would promote that kind of policy. Always thought it should be left to the respected moderators.

If all goes well, ECF shouldn't have to moderate the forum because Katy and I are doing it. ECF has entrusted us with moderating ourselves... which is a privilege. I hope no one takes it personally if I get a little more aggressive in the spirit of honoring the agreement I have with ECF.

The buy/sell/trade action (among ourselves) is going to be taken to a different venue.

Same same with the Deals & Steals and Enabler type stuff... I love knowing what deals are hot and what deals are not... but we'll have to house that outside of ECF.

Gota's room has been boarded up.

The meme thread was kind of on the edge and I decided to take the better safe than sorry route.

There are a few other threads that needed cleaning up - the only thread I haven't gone through this thread (Virtual Vapemeet), but we are already approaching 7000 points (somehow, I have no idea)... so here in a few days I may lock it so we can start fresh. Honestly, as opposed to starting a new VV thread - we'll likely explore some other options to facilitate more personal communication that the wider business community might not perceive as being business related.

Here was my deleted post:

Just put an order in at the new ########. I found a 25% code (STRIX25) and they are giving away a free 10 ml with any purchase and free shipping. Anybody try them yet?

Kinda useless without the vendor's name

I enjoy (and appreciate) having a central location for links like that, but ECF has determined this is not the appropriate forum for those posts. So'k - we adapt and innovate - that's what we do, and we do it well. I respect and appreciate ECF's judgement on the matter. Enough said.

Waaaaaa...I wanna come too...waaaaaaaa

You are so welcome to join us! The first and only time we visited, I was able to PIF some CLS to the owner (I assume she is also an owner...she is married to the guy who started it) and she became blissed out. I would not be surprised if they don't start stocking some NT. I just don't think I will be able to drive you. My time away from the house is limited by Mom's needs.

It is not change that causes us pain. It is our resistance to it . . . .

Just stopping in to say hey. I did something to my back and the muscle relaxer makes me sleepy. Back to bed.

Hey Kent thanks for looking out for my friend Robert hippensteele

OK, so I am not going to "like" this. Please take good care of yourself! Back pain is miserable and deserves respect/TLC! Make sure to vape some NT so you can feel better even more quickly.

Yeah keep us posted it seems odd that it would be a total "other" vendor blackout.

Yeah, that seems weird, everybody here likes to talk about their new gear, or ask questions like "should I get this new XXXXX" or "I'm having trouble with my XXXXXX clearo, help".

Everybody here is so friendly and helpful that it really stinks if we can't talk openly to each other? I'm not trying to start anything either, rules are rules and I will abide by them, it just feels like alot of the helpful information I find here ***will no longer be*** allowed...

***edit - or should I say "isn't allowed"

For ECF's part, I am trying to understand the larger picture... if you wander over to another another (formerly popular) forum that is sometimes referred to as the "Shark Tank" - you'll see an example of what ECF is trying to avoid. I appreciate they are setting firm boundaries not just for us, but for the wider community.

I don't think ECF is communicating that you can't speak openly (within reason) about any topic you choose - what they are trying to do (however) is sort this mess of posts into something that is easily navigable. In the Clinical Counseling World, when they talk about the DSM-IV-TR (or the most recent revision, the DSM-V)... they talk about "lumpers" and "splitters." The folks at ECF are trying to create order from total chaos every day to create an environment that connects buyers and sellers, information seekers and information providers. They lump similar topics by category, and they split other content away from others because it "belongs in another lump." The "framework" is what makes ECF attractive. They have a frame work I have to respect or I gotta bow out. It's not about agreeing or disagreeing - it's not a black and white issue... the whole thing is in a gray area. Elevating Katy and I to Forum supplier implies that we have been given the power to determine what is (in our small part of the world) good for ECF... and we don't want to betray that trust.

For my part, I have done a poor job of moderating myself in regards to personal opinions on all matter of things vaping, and non-vaping. Heavy is the head...

In as much as I abhor that "seemingly stiff, corporate" demeanor - I have to adopt a vow of silence on a few things. I'm not sharing my vapemail on ECF anymore - ever. Bummer for me. Nicoticket is in my tank, all the time... really. ;) I have no opinion, personal, professional, or otherwise regarding other vendors products. I don't have the luxury of being a Reonaut - or Provarinati, or any of that stuff.

Here's the hard part - your voice is my voice. Nicoticket LLC is wholly responsible for the entire content of this forum... so, before you post, ask... is it good for ECF, and, is it good for Nicoticket. It might seem stifling, but given the political gravity around vaping right now, they are reasonably concerned.

I could understand rules that would prevent negative comments towards competitors by the representatives of the business (ie - you), but the members commenting on their shiny flame throwers, even to the point of recommendation, seems quite harmless, given that you don't sell any. I would wonder what the objective of those rules would be?
