For ECF's part, I am trying to understand the larger picture... if you wander over to another another (formerly popular) forum that is sometimes referred to as the "Shark Tank" - you'll see an example of what ECF is trying to avoid. I appreciate they are setting firm boundaries not just for us, but for the wider community.
I don't think ECF is communicating that you can't speak openly (within reason) about any topic you choose - what they are trying to do (however) is sort this mess of posts into something that is easily navigable. In the Clinical Counseling World, when they talk about the DSM-IV-TR (or the most recent revision, the DSM-V)... they talk about "lumpers" and "splitters." The folks at ECF are trying to create order from total chaos every day to create an environment that connects buyers and sellers, information seekers and information providers. They lump similar topics by category, and they split other content away from others because it "belongs in another lump." The "framework" is what makes ECF attractive. They have a frame work I have to respect or I gotta bow out. It's not about agreeing or disagreeing - it's not a black and white issue... the whole thing is in a gray area. Elevating Katy and I to Forum supplier implies that we have been given the power to determine what is (in our small part of the world) good for ECF... and we don't want to betray that trust.
For my part, I have done a poor job of moderating myself in regards to personal opinions on all matter of things vaping, and non-vaping. Heavy is the head...
In as much as I abhor that "seemingly stiff, corporate" demeanor - I have to adopt a vow of silence on a few things. I'm not sharing my vapemail on ECF anymore - ever. Bummer for me. Nicoticket is in my tank, all the time... really.

I have no opinion, personal, professional, or otherwise regarding other vendors products. I don't have the luxury of being a Reonaut - or Provarinati, or any of that stuff.
Here's the hard part - your voice is my voice. Nicoticket LLC is wholly responsible for the entire content of this forum... so, before you post, ask... is it good for ECF, and, is it good for Nicoticket. It might seem stifling, but given the political gravity around vaping right now, they are reasonably concerned.
