Half a dozen would be good, I would think, and the limit would be about 10-12. But so far, there doesn't seem to be a huge level of interest. One person has PM'd me with, "Count me in FOR SURE if you are doing this". I'd actually prefer people speak up in this thread.

WhooHoo! I'm loving this. I'm sensitive to PG and internet challenged so I don't know if I'd make a good canidate. I've got some others in mind though (Mr. Mann, Lox).

I don't think the 33mg question is valid for today. The rest seems to be. I'd also like the definition of "peppery" spelled out because I've observed that some refer to peppery as a taste and some refer to the word as a feeling. My next question would be equipment since there is such a huge variety present today; low or high wattage, dripping, tank, clearo, and now, tc. I have no idea how that might effect results but it's quite possible a single user would vape using several types.

I see VT lists their premium nic as Chemnovatic now. Did they switch or is that what they were selling last year without disclosing the manufacturer?
VT's nic has always been Chemnovatic. I had made a request to VT, because I had discovered how clean Inawera's nic base is. Molinberry, Inawera, and VT all from Chemnovatic.

Well we need to make them up I guess. Google docs may be good, to have each add their results.

Like aikaine, I think a few lines on each participant would be good too. Mg strength, atty type, wick, watts, personal flavor clearity preference, ect.

I'm assuming we have enough people now with the recent willing participants, but we haven't heard from rossum yet..

Funny I was just ordering two more brands and was going to compare the 5 different brands I have myself.

Mfs, rts, older WL, ecx, & usaNic

None of them are on rossums list. So I'll be sitting on 9 samples here to compare.

I like a strong peppery nic and only mix tobacco flavors. Those with similar likes can review my picks.

In fact, I think we have to call that a wrap because I only have 50 bottles to put the samples in and 48 of them are now spoken for.

#2 on the list above needs to speak up in public here.

If y'all would be so kind as to PM me your shipping address, I will get samples put together and headed your way this week.

Edit: Those in Green have given me their address.

I really appreciate guys your staging of the test and involvement in it.
I was quiet during your discussion because I believe I am not a right person for this testing - somewhat different sense of taste, and definitely lazy with rewicking (once in a week is already too much for me).

Yeah, my tastebuds aren't great either.

I do like that this thread and the entire DIY community has pushed suppliers to supply better nic than days gone by.

I will in time be trying some NicSelect because they seem to have some quality now and are USA based, and then I'll be adding some WTA to my unflavored for some punch - make me a liquid ciggie, I will :)

Oh, there are ways to get it there quickly, but they're expensive, and I'm not shipping 100mg/ml samples to Europe, sorry.

If I read right, 100mg of nicotine.
If that is correct, I want to add, if it hasen't been stated already, BE CAREFUL HANDLING IT.
1 ml of 100mg can be toxic.

I was also wondering what it might take $ to do a round 2. I suppose we should finish round 1 first? I prefer using fresh nic since storage is another variable.

Is there a list of nic manufacters? I know there's Alchem and Chemovac and one in NC, Nic River (?) - But how many are there?

Reasons I prefer nic in PG rather than VG:
    • PG tends to be more consistent and neutral in terms of taste and smell from vendor to vendor than VG is.
    • PG nic normally doesn't have any added water.
    • VG nic from many vendors does have added water, but how much?
    • VG nic w/o any added water is so thick that it's difficult to ensure the nic is uniformly mixed in the VG.
I realize some people wish to avoid PG entirely. I'm not one of them. I normally vape 65-70% VG, with the balance PG, so it's not a problem for me that some of that balance comes from the nic or from flavorings.

What I'm sending out is 100 mg/ml in straight PG, exactly as received from the vendors. Obviously, people WILL have to mix it down before they vape it! Yesterday, @Gahh posted:

Since this thread is in the DIY forum, I am taking it for granted that the participants are are familiar with the precautions that should be observed when dealing with 100mg nic.
