The last batch I got from Nude was good, but oxidized very fast for me. I'd buy the VG based next time for myself.I know the 100mg nicotine I got from Nude Nicotine a few weeks ago was virtually scent-less

ECX = bad...

Sure. A cool dark cabinet like I normally do when I mix juice. I have others in my freezer for long term storage. The Nude started to change in about a week.May I ask how you were storing it?
If you like the taste of a Dupont facility, knock yourself out. It does not taste good at all man.Have not tried this particular Alchem, but I am betting I would like it a lot. I tend to like a nic that is a bit gamey and comes out fighting.
+1 I agreeNic Vape = Bad

Disconcerting. I'll keep an eye on mine. I've had it for a couple weeks at this point and I haven't noticed any oxidization but then again, I wasn't suspecting it would change so quickly so I haven't been inspecting it
At 330 bucks a liter, it should come with King Arthur's chalice !XV is one of the super clean nicotines. Off-flavors and odors are nil. There is the slight peppery taste a lot of people get at the back of the throat with nicotine. I think it has plenty of TH even with 100% VG but I use a juice finished at 15mg. I get that slightly pungent odor like tobacco when I'm nearing the end of carto life in the carto tank. This comes from darkening of nicotine due to repeated heating cycles and build-up of cotinine. On the whole, I taste more of the VG than XV nicotine. If you read back in the history of this thread people compared WL Ice to XV when Ice was available. XL arrives pretty much clear in 100mg. I say pretty much clear because it looked perfectly clear in a 100ml graduated cylinder but faintly yellow if I looked down into the 250ml jug. That yellow I saw could have come from light filtering through the white plastic jug that XV uses to ship 250ml.
I'll open the jug and dilute it all to 25mg for freezer bottling sometime next week. I'll check the 100mg for odor and clarity then rather than rely completely on year-old memory.
I'm careful about keeping my nic. My base is 25mg which I keep frozen until I make a 120ml batch of finished 15 ml juice. The juice I have in a syringe and ready to fill my next tank is from the 100mg XV batch I purchased over a year ago. It's perfectly clear.
XV sells small sample bottles.
Jimi, my NN VG is holding up great! No oxidation thus far and no change in smell and taste. I'm very happy with this nic.The last batch I got from Nude was good, but oxidized very fast for me. I'd buy the VG based next time for myself.
The ECX I have had has been pretty clean. Not Alchem clean, but cleaner than many that show very good specs.
Trace hydrocarbons used in the extraction process are not uncommon. There is actually a level of them allowed in pharma grade nic. Kerosene, or commonly heptane, can be detected by smell or taste at very low levels. None the less, I doubt there is a vendor out there that wants bad press here, so if you don't like the taste or smell of a nic, contact the vendor and see about exchanging or refunding. It is possible, in fact likely, that if you suddenly are offended by a previously excellent source of nic, others are too, and the vendor would like to know this. They may have a batch that is too high for application to vaping. Remember the same nic used by many vendors is also used in the patch.
I won't say where I got this info, but it is true, that there was some nic from Alchem than had great specs, but did not taste or smell good. Alchem is aware and is correcting this. They evidently were attempting to use whole leaf tobacco, rather than the typical remnants, for nic extraction, and the results were not quite what they expected. Again, specs are all very good, but there was more of a taste.
Have not tried this particular Alchem, but I am betting I would like it a lot. I tend to like a nic that is a bit gamey and comes out fighting.
Have also had a nic that I suspected had a bit more hydrocarbons, and was not fond of it. Might be ok to vape, but it was a taste I did not like. That was 4 years ago, however, and I've not had any like it since. Trouble is I have a bunch of it. Don't know the specs on it, but then again, there were no specs available to consumers in January of 2010.
That's great Lynda ! I don't understand what happened to my second batch. The first batch held up for a long time.Jimi, my NN VG is holding up great! No oxidation thus far and no change in smell and taste. I'm very happy with this nic.
True, but a liter would last me four years. Some people spend it on Provari's, I spend it on base.At 330 bucks a liter, it should come with King Arthur's chalice !
I did contact them. See my previous posts. Told me to use more flavor.PM me your address and I'll send ya some of this lovely nicotine base...
It would have been polite to get a response from NicVape. I had sent an email asking why it tasted so bad. I sure miss Rich. He would of responded immediately. Great companies come and go I guessThanks, but I think I will pass now that I've seen more specific descriptions. I believe NicVape is fixing this. I'm a bit miffed with Alchem for doing this, given how clean they have been up to now, but stuff happens. I'm sure it will be remedied one way or another.
