I am thinking to mix as we mix our flavors. No actual flavor, but what we are used to pg/vg/nic wise. If I normally vape a higher vg, for example, I want to see how these different nic bases will work for me. Make sense? I do realize this is not exactly apples to apples comparison, but perhaps we can judge better for our personal use?

Yes, absolutely. I don't expect anyone to vape at a nic strength or PG/VG ratio they don't feel comfortable with, but I'm thinking it should be as strong and as close to 50/50 as they're willing, and of course they should include exactly strength and PG/VG ratio they mixed to in their results. In fact, knowing what brand/vendor's PG and VG were used to dilute with is probably information that should be included as well.
I'm thinking of doing it this way:
Initial smell tests. Anyone handy can participate in those, they don't have to be vapers.
Make a single large batch of PG/VG mix. Split it into 5 portions. Add one type of nic to four of them and keep the 5th nic-free. That way each nic can be compared to the other as well as to a nic-free "juice".
As for flavoring, people can certainly add flavoring at some point, but they should start out unflavored!
I think the bottles I have here are 7-1/2 ml, so each sample will be enough to make a decent amount of finished e-liquid.

one other thing we may keep in mind is that vg will add a kind of sweet to the mix. I have used a couple different VG suppliers and have noticed a little difference. I have allso noticed it from a 50/50 and 80/20 mix. Just my 2 cents.

Have you tried vaping pure pg or tasted it? Vg has a natural tasting sweetness, whereas pg's sweetness is atleast just as much, but isn't natural tasting and very bitter and alchoholic/metallic...
Rossum, please count me in on the nicotine testing if I could. I would be honored to participate and share my experiences. I will PM you my address.

And divvied them up into samples:
Each sample bottle holds roughly 7ml.
I did this using 5 ml syringe. I should have used a 10. Each bottle of base was thoroughly shaken prior to dispensing. I filled one batch of 12 sample bottles, then purged the syringe with plain PG several times to avoid cross-contamination before moving on to the next batch.
Each batch of bottles went into a baggie that was marked using a Post-it note with the vendor's common abbreviation. I then left the room and asked my daughter to write a number on each post it note and the corresponding baggie, and to take the Post-it notes. I then came back to numbered baggies and marked the individual sample bottles with a letter corresponding to the number.
Bottom line: Even I don't know which batch is which. My daughter is the only one with that information at the moment.
Now I have to figure out how to package these for shipment...

I mixed up an even lighter flavor of my ADV in preparation. Gotta get those tasting chops in shape!
Agree! A little packing tape around the lids, or top to bottom, will help ensure the USPS gorillas won't pop them open. Zip top baggie, perhaps a little bubble wrap (all very light weight so won't add significance to shipping weight) and a padded envelope. First class USPS should be around $2?
Went today. The clerk at the Post Office asked me what was in 'em. "E-juice samples." He had no idea what that was, so I pulled my gDNA out of my shirt pocket and pointed at the bottle. "Is it that legal? I hear lots of people are using those for illegal stuff." "Yes definitely legal, just nicotine, a healthier substitute for cigarettes." "Oh, OK." 
I just wish what people are told was more positive than a comment like the one you got,"Is it legal?" crazy how its so mistaken for bad stuff.

I have a sample of "USA Liquid Nicotine" coming in from Liquid Barn. It will be interesting to see how it stands up to these samples.
So you found it... I was trying to keep it on the low as I don't know if its any good.. Now two of us have it...

I ordered mine direct from USA laboratories, aka -usa liquid nicotine, aka - trunic. It's pretty expensive and untested as of this time.. However I do have the coa form and msds sheet. Both were included
Problem is I ordered 18mg PG by accident. I can't vape much more than 10% pg. 50/50 at 9mg isn't going to be a good sample for me..

I ordered a sample of this nic too 30 ml 100 mg strength s&h $2.74 sample is free can't beat this.
