I really feel that for any test, you need to keep your test batch size large enough to lower the margin of error to an acceptable level. That level depends on how small a percentages you are using but I have never made less than a 10ml sample of anything. If it sucks, toss it. How much are we talking here? $0.25-$0.50 ? Mix one +3% one -3% and maybe one way off. Taste them all.That is one of the cool things about this process, it's relatively cheep.

As to the product in question, sorry, no I have no experience with it but best of luck.

This is fun. To mix .5% or 1% of either Flash/DNB in a 2.5ml Unflavored Base, I'm supposed to use like 0.010/0.0125ml of either Flash/DNB (I checked my Syringes and they don't calibrate that low), Or, 1 drop (that's for both .5% and 1%). How big the drop ?? Which dropper do I use (guess I'll try my smallest as both Flash/DNB come with different dropper tips) ?? Interesting to say the least !! I'll just wing it, I guess. Does Flash/DNB need to be steeped in an Unflavored mix (12mg/ml 50/50 2.5ml base) ??

For horseshoes or hand grenades, 1 drop of Flash/DNB into 3ml of base = 1%; .5% into 6ml.

My 10ml of FA Flash and 10ml of Inawera DNB are supposed to be in my mail box today. Question: Should I steep my Unflavored mix after I add either of the above, or just add the required amounts of Flash or DNB, shake it up and vape it like that ?? I'll only be doing 2.5ml as I'll be using my Lemo Drop.

It shouldn't need to steep. After you mix, shake it good. Put it in a mug of hot tap water. Let it get warm. Shake again and vape.

I added .5ml of 50/50 to bring the amount up to 3ml for each of my specimen bottles . I'm having fun running my New Tron-S thru it's paces with Unflavored 50/50 12mg/ml and CLR heads right now so I will let my DNB/Flash mixes mature a bit (naturally) and get to them in a week or so, that should be good enough I think. Thanks for all the help, I should be at least in the ball park now, and can adjust from here I think. This is the First mix I have done that is "Other Than PG/VG/Nic". I have syringes that go down to .1ml, but not .0xxx ml and don't have any scale/beakers/mixing tubes. I work with Syringes (3ml, 5ml, 10ml, 20ml, 50ml), Different bottle sizes from 5ml up to 8oz. Glass and Plastic, Blunt tip needles from 12g up to 20g and 1" to 1.5" straight and curved (thanks to shipping for the curved one, it's a Perfect ")" shape 15g 1.5" from Amazon in a 10 syringe/needle set) .

Regardles to say, ther has been some discussion as to the taste being off recently on the Nude Nic, and now am wondering if I made a mistake not trying it. Has anybody have an opinion on the recent Nude purchase.

Hi! Long time lurker as I didn't have anything of value to contribute since I'm a newbie starting to learn about the different Nicotines and DIY. I just received a sample from NN and I didn't care for it. To me it has a pretty strong fishy, "weird" taste without much of a TH that I could tell. Though the scent was very mild. FWIW, I mixed it at 10% and I normally vape 3% Nic.

I should add that I have a very strong sense of smell ever since I quit smoking 2 and half years ago. The way I'm able to detect mild scents from far away is uncanny. Still blows me away as I thought I'd grow accustomed to it after awhile but not so. So, since I think NN's is a mild scent than it must be which makes the odd flavor all the more...odd.

I've only tried one other Nic., from One Stop DIY. I love it for an unflavored Nic. It has no odor and no flavor. I've had it for over a year and and a half, kept it in the freezer and then in the frig and then on the countertop for over 6 months in hopes of creating more flavor and it still tastes/smells completely flavorless!

I'd love a Nic with tobacco flavor and a lot of TH but if I can't get that I'd rather go for the one most like OSDIY or no flavor/scent rather than NN any day. To that end does anyone know what OSDIY sells?

I also have some ECX which I hope to try ASAP and will report back when that happens.

Thanks for the reply ,I think I will now break out one of my NN Armour stash bottles to test. I mainly lurk also due to my typeing inneficiency, and the fact that I dont usually have anything beneficial to add to most threads before someone else posts. You might like MFS, it is alittle throaty tasting and fairly inexpensive. I have afew litres in my freezer but its been in there so long it is now made differently and may not taste as good as my older MFS, although I do read posts that say its still pretty strong tasting. I would recommend the VT throat hit but I dont think its that throaty, and I vape at 10 - 15 mg, although i am not a super taster. Good luck in your search, I guess i will break a bottle of my NN stash open, which really sucks because it defeats the purpose of buying with argon gas and sealed tight for the future. But oh well, better safe than sorry, I will report back when sampled.

Anyway, I hate to see you open an argon bottle just because of what I said especially since there are a others who say it's great. Is there any way we could compare batch numbers for my sample to your purchase? I assume your order history is on Nude and their current batch number would be what's in my sample.

I'm probably going to make another sample after I try ECX because I can't believe it didn't appeal to me when it's so popular. But if I find ECX is not at all like Nude than I'll have to assume Nude is not for me.

While I have been vaping for years, I am hopelessly inexperienced with mixing my own liquids but my biggest issue has been flavorless nicotine products. I've had two batches of flavorless nicotine and both of them have made me feel a bit sick and nicotine high.

The product I have in question is some 18mg and 24mg which I purchased from Health Cabin about 12 months ago.

I Vape about 6-12 mg nicotine in strength depending on what device and what voltage I am vaping at. I mixed many bottles of liquid around 6 months ago and found the nicotine levels to be too high resulting in nicotine high. Based on the nicotine strength in the juice stating on the labelling and in the mixing ratios i used, I should not be having a problem. This is how my second batch of nicotine that seems to be twice as strong as what it ought to be based on the stated nicotine levels. I am also not liking the throat hit on the nicotine. I can't describe why I don't like it but I can point to commercial juices like heathers heavenly vapes, Ahlusion and goodejuice that I do enjoy the throat hit.

What I would like is some advice on buying quality nicotine to ensure I don't ruin future batches of home made liquids. I am looking for nicotine that has a good throat hit (not smooth) and which comes from a vendor with a good reputation for accurately stated nicotine levels.

For teeny tiny percentages like that, you can mix some up at 10% strength with 1 part Flash/DNB and 9 parts PG, then use ten times the amount called for in the recipe (so .1/.125 ml instead of .01/.0125). A lot easier to measure that way.

I am not familiar with that nic you mentioned, however you might want to try a nic test kit. You can purchase them at Wizard labs I remember reading. I personally have not used one but am thinking about it. Would probably be a good thing to have and use for GP.I sounds like your nic strenght might be on the high mg side. Or try some different nics that are recommended here, although I think Iremember you guys in Australia cannot import nic? so inthat case you might want to try testing, Good luck.

Well, shoot! Nude Nic only lists 3 certificates. One from 2014, and one from 2.16.15 and 3.24.15. I wonder how many others there are, if any? Maybe a phone call would help? Good luck.

I just looked in that freezer to pull some NN out and promptly closed the lid. Its packed too full to remove and I would have to pull everything out, I guess we will just have to wait and see. Everyone else is reporting positive on this nic, so hopefully I will too. Sorry your nic was not good, did you notify NN.

We are actually allowed to buy nicotine in Australia. The prohibition is on selling it. We are on a two tier system in regards to nicotine based liquid regulations.

Australian regulations are odd. The test kit results are not very specific. They'll give you a range which is ok as a back up. What your describing is odd. I've bought from HC before and they are reliable. Some of the Chinese eliquids have been around for the longest, they still produce some of the best tobacco flavors. A lot of people like HC's but the shipping costs on retail tend to be high to the US.

You might want to post in the DIY section to help figure out what's going on. My first thought was your system of measuring but it happened with premade liquid too. You might want to buy different strengths of the same flavor, then you can use a calculator to mix down to a mg level that works better. Just some thoughts.

I've got NN Armor in that time range as well. A lot of venders get their nic from NN and I assume if something was off, they'd notice. That was my thought anyway. I don't intend to find out for a long time which is why I invested in the packaging.

I also figured it wouldn't hurt to stash a variety of nic brands either since it sounds like many age at different rates and take on different characteristics than they have fresh. Sometimes within the same brand. Having too much nic is unlikely.
