I think nic itself is a stimulant like coffee and in that way can help focus, attention span and ease depression.

Partially, yes. Stimulants temporarily relieve mental fatigue, which does help with focus. However, nicotine appears to have other properties that help with memory retention and cognitive function. Let's not forget that the human brain actually has nicotine receptors, so it must serve some specific function in biology.

Anyone hear of Chemnic?
Shipped from India.
Imported from India.

Don't know anything about their nic but...

Their prices for FW 4oz flavorings are ok but not great.
I use Monoject Luer-lock syringes from Foster & Smith
Chemnic's prices on syringes are pure profit imo
a buck for a 20ml, etc is correct & smart - Syringe Only
Monoject markings are laser-etched so they stay visible for years

There's a 20% off code right now. I'd have to look it up if anyone's interested. I get kinda picky on nic so I'm not usually a good one with taking one for the team.

Fosters Smith is good. I used to feed exotic birds and those were the best.

It's from india and is supposed to be some of the best in the world and a reviewer mentioned light pink. It sounds like alchem, though of course just a guess, and that wouldn't be bad nic in my book. I've had nicselect from many vendors, and I can always tell they aren't lying by just opening the bottle and smelling it. It isn't tobacco, but a faint chemical smell I can't describe, like maybe glue or something. It's noticable in taste from 6mg up, but quickly makes it non-percievable(at 6mg) and regular nic spicyness is all that's left when keeping with the nic for extended time(as in not altering different nics). I'm talking unflavored here, btw. It's usually pink for me, in VG-blend. I would try it for sure if was in the states...

Anyone tried to make Juul like nic salts with benzoic acid crystals?
I bought some benzoic acid crystals a while ago (Summer of 2015?) with the intention of trying that. But after draining a number of Juul pods, diluting the juice I got from them down to my usual 15 mg, and vaping it that way in my normal gear, I concluded it really wasn't worth messing with; that regular nic works just as well for me at normal strengths and didn't have the slightly strange taste that seems to come with all of Juul's flavors. Of course everyone is different an YMMV.

I read your posts. Seems to me, a part of reason it works in the Juul is because the acid lowers the PH, making vaping higher nic levels acceptable rather than the inherent freebasing of the nic as seen in tobacco formulations with the addition of ammonia.

I made a batch of 24mg with 2% citric acid and could drip it without too much drama. Gave a light headed feeling rather than a nic rush, i put this is down to citric acid releasing carbon dioxide at 175c.

Although, PAX say nicotine benzoate and nicotine salicylate are mono-protonated nicotine salts. I presume this to mean the nic is unstable prior to inhalation and readily dissociates when heated and the smaller particles are more easily absorbed by the body. (feel free to correct me on that)

DIY nic salts is a thing.

2% benzoic acid mixed with 72mg PG nic, heated to 55c until dissolved. Cooled, made up a batch of 36mg with 15% flavour giving a 65/35 PG/VG ratio.

After some trial puffs and leaving it for 24hrs to see if die, i finally got up the courage to give it a proper vape. First thing you notice is there is zero harshness, its like vaping 3mg max VG.

After about ten puffs, heart rate and breathing increased markedly. I didnt like it and was worried the acid was doing horrible things to me, so put it down and decided to mull it over.

Anyway, today i pinched a marlborough off someone and smoked it, tasted awful, but gave me the exact same feeling as the home made salts. I never smoked premade, but maybe there is something to this salt malarkey after all.

Ive ordered some VG nic and plan to try 1% and mix up a batch of 48mg. o_O

I look forward to your results. I have two 1 ltr. bottles of 12nic from NN that are so harsh they're unvapable at 3nic 75vg. If there is some way to salt them to make them better I want to know.

Recently I recalled that my college room mate gave me a box of cigars back in the day. I didn'tt smoke the last one until it was 10 years old. After restoring the proper humidity it seemed fine. If the nic had gone away I think I would have noticed. So I asked the RTS chemist in this thread This is a question about the shelf life of nicotine
why nic might be so durable in tobacco leaf but so fragile in extracted form. He doesn't seem to have a definitive answer. Then someone else chimed in that they had some years old nic that had never been in a freezer and still seemed fine. My nic is staying in amber glass in the freezer but what makes everyone so sure that nic concentrate is so perishable? There may be people hesitating to store nic because they don't want to put it in a freezer. May be it is a good gamble to get some nic even if it will be stored at room temperature?

@sofarsogood I havent looked at this closely but ive read that nic can get weaker with age and can develop a peppery taste.
I agree that nic should be in air tight amber glass bottles but may be it's worth the risk to store some even if it can't be kept at freezing temperatures. Some loss of potency migh also occure in frozen nic. It's worth a deeper understanding of the chemistry.
