knwo it tends to give a measure of throat hit, and have noticed a slight peppery taste/smell due to nicotine.... It's not super noticeable but it is there. It's not like if you like a pinch of black pepper on your steak and someone gives you a handful of it. I haven't been able to tell the difference in taste between a 12mg and a 24mg.

Agreed, I wasn't able to tell the difference between 12 and 24 either. By "high nicotine content" how much are we talking about?

does the amount of nicotine in my e-liquid effect the taste of the e liquid, if so what flavors should i use with a high nicotine content

I definitely think it does. If you need high nicotine but the taste and TH seem a bit much for you, add more PG to the PG/VG ratio. For example if you usually order 80pg/20vg order 70pg/30 or even 60pg/40vg. It seems to make it a bit smoother.

Sure it does, You should use more flavoring % in your mix to mask the Nic and it will give you more flavor, that's all. depending on whether your using a VG or PG Nic this will effect your ratio depending on what base your flavoring is too, it also will effect you ratio, but either way adding flavor will mask the Nic taste. I use all VG Nic in my DIY and only add flavoring and extra VG to my DIY mixes for example also the higher of an MG Nic base you use to mix with the less Nic you will need and it will leave more room for flavoring and other additives pg/VG

I love this Board! Was wondering about my experience, and planned to start a new thread ... and then I read The Mechanic's post.

I'm a Newbie Vaper (one week of experience), so I don't have a lot to draw on. That said, I notice a definite throat hit and "peppery" taste.

My setup: E-power 14650, 2.0 ohm cartomizers, and Dekang Tobacco flavor at 24mg of nicotine. Just ordered four 5ml bottles of juices, two with allegedly "smooth" tobacco flavor, one mint flavor, and one lemon flavor. All at 18mg of nicotine (instead of 34mg).

FYI, I am a former Marb Lights one-pack-a-day smoker.

Will let y'all know my experience.
