Recently I've noticed that the nicotine bites my throat. I started out at a nic level of 15 in my nauti tanks and over the past 8 months have lowered my nic level down to 4 in my nauti tanks and 2 in my sub tanks, which I started using a couple months ago. With both tanks the nicotine bites my throat and I have bought juice at different places and it still happens. Why is this now starting to happen?

As a former menthol smoker I never really experienced throat hit until I started vaping. At 12mg I was fine with everything except fruit flavors, which were always harsh. Those I do at 6mg.

I've only been vaping a little over three months and now I'm finding the flavors I used to love at 12mg are becoming harsh. So you're not alone in this phenomenon.

Same thing happened to me. The longer I avoided smoking. The more sensitive my throat became. Perhaps its the healing process. I really dunno. Now I just use 3 mg with 70% VG. My clouds are dense, and plentiful. It's like 36 mg without the kick in the throat ! :toast:

Maybe it is the healing processs. My son (who is 18) would take a hit off my vape to taste the flavor and he always would say it burned his throat...he has never smoked. I could not feel any throat hit, until recently. At 2 and 3 nic, I'm feeling it bite my throat. Might have to go to 0 nic soon, which ultimately was the goal.

I use a 70/30 VG/PG at 3mg nicotine and get a great hit. No harshness at all. Of course I'm using temp control so that makes a big difference as well. When you use mods without temp control and you press the fire button the mod will continue to heat the coil until you reach the 10 second cut off or you release the fire button. With temp control that no longer happens. Once the coil comes up to temperature then the device will control the temperature and not allow it to go any hotter thus giving you a much smoother vape with out the harshness.
