I have heard both, couple days and months....I don't know which it is for sure but you never know. Good Luck with the interview though!!! It is a sad state when you can not do something that IS LEGAL.

Thank you. I agree, especially in these tough times....been looking around and yeah I can't find anything for sure in regards to timeframe/estimates.

Is this over an insurance issue or is it a "hospital type" you're a bad representation to our patients kind of thing?

If it's insurance related some insurance companies do have give and take over the matter of smoking versus vaping test results. Some members have had success presenting their case - including receipts for their vape purchases - to prove they aren't smoking.

But, as the employer, if they are gonna go all Nazi on your .... and say any positive test result is a bad test result you are screwed over the issue.

There are threads here about the technical matters of the tests. Lemme see if I can find them.

From what I have read around here, some people pass after being off nic for four days. That is with a urine test, not blood. I've read that a blood test is harder to pass but also more expensive to do and is rarely used. Many have said to drink lots of water to help flush your system out. Somebody should be able to give you a more comprehensive answer tomorrow. Good luck with the interview and medical test. We'll be rooting for you.

Here are two threads:

^^^ Beat me to it, especially the 2nd thread.

I never thought I would see the day when the requirements to get a mediocre job with crappy benefits would be:

A Masters degree or Doctorate
A bazillion years experience, yet still look like you are only 24
The ability to successfully pee in a cup

Amerika - what a country.

So no point in stopping since I'm screwed either way...thanks for all the info guys.

water
water
water
and more

water

back when i was a teenage miscreant, i was able to pass urine tests whereas my levels of other stuffs would have melted the cup and the can below it. just drink water until everything flows clean. think half gallon to gallon per hour. for the few hours before leaving for the test. make sure to urinate clear and with no odor a few times before the test. and don't stop flushing until after you've filled the sample.

take it serious and your levels should show so low to be indiscernible.
