here is my setup: 28 ga 3/4 loops dual coil, 1mm cotton yarn 4 folds, 0.6 ohms

Finally got around to coiling my Nimbus today.

tucked one end of wick under a coil on each side & trimmed the rest off.

Ohm'd out to 1.0, was hoping for less but oh well.

vaping goodness:2cool: I was concerned I would have to drill out the air holes but it hits fine & I am getting thick clouds with great flavor & TH. BTW, the top cap is a tight fit on the o-rings, I lubed them up with juice and that did the trick for me.

I have a feeling these ohm's aren't right. Those numbers seem really high seeing those set ups. They both look below .5ohm to me....??

Bishopheals has a video where he's using 4wraps duel & getting .4ohm.

You're probably right, I did a second build with xc-116 & dual 3/2 wraps of 30 AWG & it ohm'd out to 0.7, here's a pic.

This was (and still is) a better build IMO, i must have been shorting out on the cap or base the first time.

Any one bored out the air hole's? If so what size & how's it feel for 'ya?

I feel like they could be just a hair, bigger. Not sure. I am really enjoying the draw & production. Seems like it would help from having to draw as much & firing the coils as long.

Really like to hear from some one who's modded it. Hate when I over do it...

Got one today... 2 x 4 wrap 30g eko wool double 1.5mm... ohmed at .66
Been vaping it about 1/2 hour...
I like how big it is... and double holes, but must say my Forge/clone for 1/3 the price (triple post, smaller diameter, 1 hole) is almost as good.
Too early to tell as i need to get the hang of it... but duals and low ohms are the best vape i've had yet... eats the juice though, AND the batts... makes a 18650 feel like a 18350... :p

edit:eek:k an hour later... i think the Nimbus puts out better flavor than the Forge/clone... it has room for big asz wicks. yow. i think i'm gonna like this more and more.

I know this is probably a newb question,

but how exactly did u get ur silica from ur 2nd picture to 3rd picture to be so much more compact and sitting on/in the well?

Did u simply trim the excess silica that was projecting out over the well??

Ukeman Yes I position the loops on the direct opposite side of the logo. So basically when I tip my device the juice from the drip well soaks the loops feeding the coils. Blix the Chimbus is has alot smaller well, the posts are closer, no spitback /flavor enhancer, which basically makes the unit what it is in my opinion, and the deal breaker for me was those stupid allen screws. I didn't mind paying for better build quality either. And yeah Ukeman I want my ELA's to get here already lol .

You can also buy it from Fasttech for like $6, quite a markup for the engraving and extra air hole.... :)

Not really sure why they're are so many people continuing to say that. Sure, they are the same concept, but not anywhere near the same. There are a lot of difference's between the two. 100% not the same atty with just a added engraving & air hole.

After comparing the vape between my Nimbus and my IGO-L with dual 1/16" air holes, I finally took my 1/16" drill bit and bored the air holes out. Big difference and much needed for this dripper, especially if you have a sub-ohm setup. It is an airy draw at dual 1/16" but position the air holes slightly off the coils so I get the right mix of flavor & vapor.

cool ... what ohms are you aiming for and what gauge wire, how many wraps.

this is a dual coil device.. meaning the ohms of each coil will be divided in half for final resistance. wow.
so if you wrap a 1.0 coil x 2 it will equal .5 ohms i.e. very low, but low is good.
If you don't know about RBA coil wrapping etc, I'd seriously recommend you go higher.... and you can get that info yeah?
It dangerous!

to your question, 1. the lower the resistance 2. double coils = equals more juice consumption.

this baby eats up juice!!! I drip about 10 drops and it lasts about 3 sessions of vaping (say 4 or 5 vapes each)... sometimes that's within 15 min. ymmv.
Just ordered one! never dripped before...
just how often do we have to drip on this kind of device?

just saw your sig...you know about RBA's obviously.

thanks uk,
just trying to imagine the kind of gymnastic on a 1 hour drive...
Yeah I'll probably try to stay within the .8ohm range and also go back to some 30 gauge to up the ohms of each coils.
I've checked on a bunch of RDAs, this one looks solid... little well, three poles... can't wait to get it!

Is anybody that's using Eko Wool on this getting a kind of heat sink effect?
Takes a second before the coil heats up and vapor is a little too warm and strong to the lungs?

I have a doubled over 2mm eko loop x2 =6 ohms... never getting any instant firing like my little forge with 2 smaller coils same ohms.

I find i have to draw hard to get enough air in the vapor too... sounds like widening the holes would help.
